You stood outside your apartment block, the night sky beginning to fade as the sun shone from the horizon of the sea that could be seen in the distance.

"Do you live alone?" Jungkook asked you.

Oh yeah, I'm not alone...

You awkwardly swallowed the saliva gathering in your mouth. Jungkook and Taehyung had to walk you here and take you back to the underground base after you gathered whatever you needed.

"I have a room-mate" you lied. It would be a problem to walk through the front door, having your mother bombard you with a million questions. It was a tough decision but you decided writing a quick note saying you'd be away for a while because of a work thing was the best thing to do, mentioning they'd get sent money weekly too. It was easy to believe which gave you some relief. The last thing you needed was a panicking mother ringing the police to come find you.

"You sure you can climb up there?" Taehyung asked doubtedly.

"Oh ye of little faith" you said with a small smile whilst placing your foot on the piping that lined the side of the building. They both watched you, mouths agape as you climbed to your floor with ease and held your leg out to slide the window open as quietly as you could.

"Um... she must do this often" Jungkook commented, watching you climb skillfully and then use your foot to push the window open. Taehyung didn't say anything but his eyes never left your figure.

As soon as your feet landed on the soft carpeting of your bedroom floor you felt safe and more secure. The stress that had been gnawing away at your mind had gone momentarily and at this moment your life was normal and you were happy. The first time you felt happy since that night. It was delightful to be in a place that was recognisable and had some colour. You shuddered thinking about the white-washed room.

Then it came crashing down on you that you were only here to grab some things of yours. You couldn't stop the depressed sigh that left your lips and instantly put your right hand to your mouth, afraid your mother would hear you, if she was home that is.

After some rummaging in your closet, it didn't take long to fill a backpack and a small bag with a few jumpers, shirts, jeans, underwear, sweats and socks. You couldn't help but pack very slowly as you didn't know when you'd come back here again. Everything was up in the air which troubled you greatly as you liked to know what was happening and follow some order- your order.

Hesitantly you ripped a sheet of paper out of one of your old school notebooks and took a pen from your desk.

Can I do this?

You sat there not moving for a good minute, the pen flicking in your fingers. You knew the boys would be growing impatient however that didn't matter right now. You were trying to find peace of mind, knowing that you were abandoning your family, it felt a little selfish. You were basically saving your own arse.

Sorry mum but there's a work thing I need to do and I had to leave quickly coz I was running late as usual >°<
but don't worry, I'll keep sending my pay cheque weekly, just check your bank account every Sunday. I'll be back later probably, I lost my phone but I'll message when I find a new one!

You tried to think of anything else you needed to say and then decided that was enough. Better not to say too much so that it doesn't seem strange and unnatural.

Nodding to yourself, less than satisfied, you put the paper on your desk and swung the backpack over your shoulder.

Then you stopped. For a split second-
