A few minutes passed and everyone was busy amongst themselves. You were going to ignore Taehyung's snide comment from earlier but the truth was, you didn't like having tension between you. He was obviously not happy yet you hadn't the slightest reason why.

Jungkook was snoring away softly next to you, leaning into his window.

"I heard what you said," you mustered up the courage to have a conversation you knew would probably send sparks flying.

"That's why I said it," he mumbled with his eyes still closed and arms crossed over, his body balled up against the car.

"What's wrong? What have I done that's upset you?" you asked almost as a plea.

He sighed, "how could you just run off like that?" He didn't sound as angry anymore.

Is he mad coz I didn't keep lying with him when one of his best friends was in danger?

"I don't understand."

He flipped his hair off of his eyes and sat up straight, his face the only thing in your view. Jin stopped the van at a rest stop allowing everyone to clamber out for a late night snack. Each person had a partner now it seemed. Jimin with Gabriela, Namjoon and Rosa, Hoseok and Sil Hye, Jin and Eun Ae, Yoongi preferred having time to himself anyway so was the happiest when he could go for a stroll along the beach side. Jungkook continued to sleep unaware of what was happening at all.

"Of course you don't. You don't think about yourself or your own safety." His eyes were wider than usual. You missed soft, cuddly Taehyung.

You realised he meant the fact you ran off recklessly to fight off those guys outside the hotel room.

"I- I can't just sit back whilst everyone else was busy and y'know the fact that we were the only ones who stayed behind! I told you before, you're not my babysitter."

His lip curled on one side but not in a happy smile, more due to the fact he was disappointed in your answer.

"Don't you realise the more you put yourself in danger, there's a bigger risk of us all getting into danger-" and you bit your lip because he was right but everything was fine! Why was he being such a douche now?

"I can hold off my own. I was fine."

He rolled his eyes. "After I came."

You scoffed and raised your voice a little more, "excuse you but I can take one bloody kick. I had three guys down before you even showed up so stop playing the shining knight coz I'm not some damsel in distress."

"You can't take on 10 guys Y/N, just accept the fact what you did was careless- we've already had this conversation."

"Who are you to care about my choices huh?" He stared back at you, "no offence Taehyung but you're not my dad nor are you my boyfriend." He just exasperated at your question, unable to accept what you were saying because it hurt his feelings. You knew your words were borderline over the top and you felt as though you were both overreacting to this way more than you should be. It just seemed to get out of hand. You didn't appreciate the way he didn't think you could stand up for yourself as though he had to keep you in some protective bubble. Your whole life you had been on your own, who did he think he was?

"Wow. Just coz I want to look out for you. You're not any more important than the rest of us, I'd act like this if anyone in this crew behaved as recklessly as you do. You don't even consider anything before throwing yourself at a dangerous situation. I can see why your dad had to fake his own death." The monotone ringing of his voice echoed in your mind.
