A heavy silence took over and the room suddenly felt a lot smaller than it was, almost claustrophobic.

"Say something," you pleaded, voice a little hoarse. Taehyung seemed to be in shock. The first person to make any movement was Hoseok who got up and walked over to you worried.

"What are you saying?" he searched your face in a rush and you blinked away your nervous flush.

"I'm Taehyung's birthmate," you whispered, suddenly conscious of all the people staring at you. Yoongi switched the call off with Hitae as that wasn't even the biggest issue right now. All the focus was on you.

"Y/N don't do this," Taehyung spoke with a sharpened edge in his tone and you shook your head and grabbed his hand, pulling him to your room. Jungkook was about to follow but Hoseok held him back.

"They need to talk." Jungkook sighed in frustration before reluctantly taking a seat once again.

Taehyung didn't say anything as you dragged him along with you. You quietly shut the door and avoided eye contact with him as you unbuttoned your baby pink shirt along the front. Taehyung reached out for your hand and you gently pushed him off.

"Please, just let me-" you ordered him and his expression hardened as your top came undone in front of him, just enough to reveal the space where your breasts rested and your ribs began. Your pink laced bra exposed and you lifted it a little so he could see your mark. In the centre was the beautiful two headed rose with thorny vines lacing around it.

His breath stopped but not for the reasons you'd rather him to be quiet. No, he was shocked for all the wrong reasons. His face quickly twisted to disappointment and he stood up. He felt betrayed and you knew it. All the precious moments you spent together. Were you just going along with him knowing in the end you'd just leave him? It made so much sense why he was instinctively crazy about you, why he kept caring about you and why he wanted you. Mostly, he felt stupid.

"Taehyung..." you spoke weakly and he turned to you.

"Trust me, you don't wanna talk to me right now." With that he left your room and slammed the door behind him leaving you alone with your cursive thoughts.

I deserve it.

You sat quietly and could hear shouting outside before something smashed and another door slammed.

You ran out immediately upon hearing all the commotion.

"Y/N stop! There's glass every-" Jin warned you just as you stood directly on top of a 2 inch large, sharp piece of glass, cutting into your soft feet. The pain didn't even register until you saw the blood leaking onto the pristine light grey, tiled flooring.

"Shit," Jin swore and rushed over to you in slippers, putting your arm over his shoulder and helping you to a kitchen stool.

"I'm gonna pull it out, okay?" he informed you so you were aware of his actions and you nodded. Even though you knew to expect the pain, the sudden sting that vibrated in that one spot made you wince and flinch uncomfortably. It hurt. A lot. "This is why we don't walk around with no shoes honey," you knew he was being caring but you felt worse for it. Just like you knew to expect this physical pain from the cut, you knew the emotional wreckage from lying to Taehyung would hurt but it hurt a whole lot more than you could have imagined. You even hoped he would welcome you with open arms. Yeah right.

Jin continued to silently sterilise your wound and you shuffled on the stool, unable to sit straight.

"Is he okay? Did he hurt himself?" you asked Jin with anxious eyes. You knew you had no right to worry about him now. That chance was gone.
