Namjoon made his way over to the table where you, Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook sat. Jimin took out his phone to play games; Taehyung talking to the maknae still.

He pulled out a chair, swung it around and sat with his chest against the backrest with arms folded over the top, his spectacles hanging onto the bridge of his nose, lips parted- the whole time, tension was building and you kept letting out puffs of air from curiosity.

You stared at him as he took his sweet, sweet time, starting to get annoyed.

"He was actually my best friend when I was 16. We used to make things for fun" he waved his hand around lazily but you already knew that history as Jungkook had told you a teaser from his own past.

"Then we kinda spaced apart as I made friends with Yoongi first, then Jin and Hoseok, after some time Jimin and Taehyung with lil' Jungkook coming in last after I found him running around like a mad man." His head tilted towards Jungkook, as though the memories were flooding his mind as he told you.

"Nonetheless we still spoke and hung out, whatever. Until he comes running to me one day, excited over a job he had got. I asked what it was, turned out his uncle had landed him a tracking job for the triads based in Chinatown. You can imagine the shock I had, he was gonna use everything we had made together to help the triads locate people and do probably horrible things to them. Funny thing, at the same time I found Jungkook and told him I'd help him. When I brought him back, I saw that half the equipment and computers that we set up had been taken. I knew Hitae had them and he was in the middle of transferring them."

Even as the story was being told your mouth fell open a little, occasionally your teeth nibbling on your bottom lip. Your eyes forming various shapes as he relived his past.

"Did you break it all?" you asked frantically, completely absorbed into the story.

"Worse" Jimin chuckled looking up from his phone and looking across at you, knowing that not knowing was causing your body to cripple in angst.

"I took the database on a small memory card. It's all good having the equipment but not having the software nor the algorithm kinda renders everything useless."

Namjoon pouted a little, lips looking squishy as he did. Then he closed his eyes and shook his head.

"He wasn't happy when he found out huh..." you concluded, stating the obvious.

"That's an understatement," Taehyung perked up, "he threatened to kill us all."

"Why all of you?" you turned back to Namjoon.

"Coz in the moment, I ran to Yoongi hyungs place where all these guys were playing cards or something," he smiled, "and told them we gotta go."

"Even Jungkook?" you speculated whilst glimpsing over at him. He wasn't interested in the story, only rubbing his belly.

"Yes, Jungkook too. I had to help him like I promised. Jin hyung helped me find scrap computers and do them up again so we could set everything up ourselves. Now we're finding our mates and then we can chill."

"He could just make the software again by himself though or ask someone else?" You still couldn't make sense of this guys motive. He seemed to be powerful enough now if he has spies of his own and people working under him.

"When he went back to the triads, he got humiliated coz he still can't make it work as good as we did back in the day. He's a big shot now since he made his way up through crime and other things with his less sophisticated software" Namjoon rested his chin on his arms and smacked his lips, "it's more of a revenge thing."
