The end of the school day came. I told Jasmine what I was doing. She accepted and let me go. "Ana remember this month is almost up. That means training".
"What does that mean? I can't hangout with Ethan?"
"You can hangout with him just not as much".
I told her about Liam's party. She seemed thrilled to go. Later on, Ethan picked me up and we drove off to where ever he was going to take me. "Where are we going?"
"It's a surprise". We then drove up a mountain. I was starting to get anxious. It looked so beautiful. We soon stopped and pulled over to an empty spot. "Come on". He came over to my side and opened the door. As soon as I got out he took my hand. "It's just over here". We walked up a hill. "Ok now turn around". I turned around. I could see all of California. "It's so beautiful!"
"It's much better at night".
"Well maybe we can come here at night one day". He looked at me and smiled. "Come on let's sit down" I said as I pulled him down to the grassy area. We talked about whatever what was on our mind. "Hey Grayson actually talked to me today".
"Really?" I said smiling. He nodded. I could tell he was happy by the way his eyes lit up. "I don't know what you did but whatever you did it's working". I kissed him on his cheek. "Well I'm glad your happy". He then chuckled and pulled me closer to him. For a while we were silent. Just feeling the cool breeze. I messed with the holes in his jeans. He picked out some flowers that were near him. They were Daisy's. He then put them in my hair. "You look so beautiful". I blushed and smiled. Something inside me wanted to tell Ethan everything. I looked at Ethan. He looked at me with those beautiful eyes. "What's wrong Ana?" I grabbed his hand. I then bit my lip. "Ethan you know that I trust you". He nodded. "That I wouldn't do anything to hurt you".
"What are you saying?" I could hear his voice crack. I quickly kissed him. I then pulled away from him and touched his cheeks. "I need to tell you something. Promise me no matter what I say that you need to listen to me. No matter what I say you need to keep it a secret".
"I-I am so confused right now".
"I know, I know just please hear me out". He nodded. I swallowed hard to prepare myself for what I was about to say. "Ethan, I wasn't born a human. I'm an immortal. Im what they call a royal. I have the special powers that I haven't received yet but I slowly am. My blood line came from my father and passed generations. I am the last of the royals. The scar that's on my body represents something from my bloodline. This necklace that Jasmine gave me represents my family crest. Jasmine, Mr. Gyles, John, and Adam from the office administration. They are watchers. They fight the bad and protect us from creatures. Such as vampires, witches, werewolves, etc. Yes those things do exist. I know you don't believe me. Trust me I didn't believe this either but it's real and it's who I am". I moved away from him. "So if you want to leave be my guest. Just don't tell anyone that I said any of this. Not to even Grayson. I understand if you don't want to be with me anymore". I looked the other way waiting for Ethan to run or move away. I felt his hand under my chin. "Is it true?" I had tears fill my eyes. I nodded. "I knew Ana. I knew you were always something special. Ever since the day I met you and even when you came back to me. I knew. Of course I didn't know exactly what you were but I had this feeling".
"Well now that you know. You can go if you like. You probably think I'm crazy. I didn't know how to tell you. I was just rambling because I was nervous. Now that you know that I'm a freak you may leave if you want. I'll understand".
"Are you kidding me? Ana I grew up not feeling like I fit in. I know what that feels like. I just got you back and you think I'm gonna let you go because your some cool super chick? I've fallen more in love if that's what you want to hear. I'm staying and I'm not going. Yeah it sounds crazy and I'm super confused right now but that doesn't mater. The only thing that maters is that whatever you're going through I'm gonna be here". I then hugged him. Tears flowed down my face. I was preparing for the worst but Ethan didn't do any of those things that I thought was gonna happen. He brushed my tears away. "Can I see what you can do?" I laughed. I grabbed a sharp rock. I then cut myself with the end of the sharp rock on my arm. I winced in pain. Then the cut began to heal fast. "Woah! That's freaking awesome!"
"Also when you were sleeping. Um...I don't know how but when I touched you. You glowed. I think I was healing you. That's why you woke up not feeling sick".
"You healed me?"
"Yeah but I don't know how I did".
"What else can you do?"
"I think I can see the future. I seen flashing images. It gives me a headache but then it goes away. I only had it happen once. But they come whenever in random times. So far that's all".
"So you haven't fully got your powers?" I shook my head. "I don't know what else is gonna happen to me".
"Well whatever happens I'll be here". I looked at my phone. "Ah! I have to get to work". Ethan got up quick and lifted me up. We ran to the car. I had my clothes in my backpack. "I'm gonna hop in the back. No peaking! I'm gonna change". I quickly changed. Ethan wasn't even paying attention to me. He kept his eyes on the rode. "Where do you work?" I told him the address. Before I knew it we were in front of my work. "Ethan? Were you driving fast?"
"No...". He said guilty. I sighed and got out of the car. Soon Ethan was by my side. "Hey I'll pick you up. Just call me before you get out". I nodded. "Good luck on your first day". He kissed me and then he left. I then stared at the building that was in front of me.
