I drove Jasmine and Ana back home. Cameron decided to stay back and watch Ethan. Before we left She thanked Jasmine for everything. Once we got to her house I carried Ana upstairs and put her to bed. "What will you tell her once she wakes up?"
"Eh...she will still be out of it. It will be like she's drunk and she really won't know what's going on".
"Oh...". We left out of her room. I put my hands in my pockets. "Um...Jasmine...I been wanting to ask you something". I ran my fingers through my hair. "What's up?" I knew she had feelings for me. It was unexplainable when I had no soul. Like I knew but then I didn't care. "So...I knew when I didn't have a soul. That you liked me and I was just wondering-".
"If I still liked you?" She smiled. I let out a relieved sigh. "Good because I like you...a lot".
"Really I thought you liked Ana?"
"It's complicated...when I didn't have a soul it was mostly lust with her. I mean I knew she was dating my brother but the douche inside of me wanted her even more. But now I totally respect her and I like you".
"Man this is just horrible timing" she laughed and so did I. It felt good to laugh again. It felt good to feel again. Out of nowhere she kissed me on the lips. "I'll take a rain check ok when I get back".
"Definitely" I then gave her a smirk. "Well I guess then I will be going-oh! Before I go. Tell her I said bye and that I will miss her and I'm so sorry". She nodded. "Also where did you stick my brothers soul?"
"Somewhere safe...inside of Ana. Ana's heart". I nodded and walked away. I drove back home. I felt relieved but also sad. I didn't want Ana to leave nor did I want Jasmine to. But I had to let them.
POV of Jasmine
After a couple of hours of packing. Ana finally woke up. She was like a person who just got a hangover. "Jasmine?" She said weakly. She put her hand against her head. "What? What happened?"
"We're leaving....actually we are going back home".
"Why?" I sighed and I actually didn't know what to say. "Well...I felt that it's best to go back home because you know". She yawned. "Ok fine just tell me when we get on the plane". I actually was shocked that she didn't put up a fight. It didn't take long before we were on the plane. I called Grayson. "Hey were on the plane. Can you do me a huge favor?"
"Sure".
"In the school basement there is some stuff. Hunters stuff that was left there. Destroy everything. Make sure nothing is there. Make it look like no one was there".
"Got it".
"Hey make sure Ethan is ok".
"I will. What about Ana? Have you told her?"
"No but were already half way there so...I rather tell her when we get home. Thank you Grayson for everything".
"You're welcome". I looked at Ana as she looked out the window. "Does this mean goodbye?" She said. I shook my head. "No just....temporary". She held my hand. Something was bothering her but she didn't tell me. She fell asleep on the way there. As soon as I heard "Ladies and gentlemen we are here in Arizona". I woke Ana up. She grumbled. "Come on we gotta go". We soon got off and headed home in an Uber. "Where's my car?" She said.
"Don't worry it will be here in a couple of days". We stayed in my house. I didn't want Ana to ask about her mother just yet. She didn't question anything. "Ana are you hungry?" She shook her head and then laid on the couch. I sighed. Ana was going to be a handful. I sat by the bay window and looked outside. What if Ethan never recovers? I mean he should but there is a chance. Then this would be....goodbye.
