The elves palace was beautiful. The whole entire building centered around a huge tree. Literally in the center of this throne room was a huge tree. It's branches spread all across the ceiling. The throne room itself was completely made out of wood but glowed with a spectacular light that made it seem welcoming.
The queen of the elves sat on throne with guards on either side if her. Her hair was red like a fox and her eyes amber like the sap from a tree. She wore a long green dress with the pattern of leaves on it. She was also very pale like all of the elves with pointed ears.
The group of elves walked up and knelt before their queen.
"My lady." Said forest gracefully raising his head. "These humans were found in our territory."
"I was informed that you would be taking them back to where they came from" Said the queen, ",but yet here they are in front of me. Why would that be?"
My throat became dry. I was furious at the moment, but also a little nervous. This women could order to kill us any second. Although I did have my sword, so if she did try to kill us I wouldn't make it so easy.
"My queen," said Fabian standing up from his kneeling position, "we did take them back and there home had been burned to ashes. They have requested to live in the woods."
Queen Fawn raised her eyebrow at Fabian's last comment.
"Here? In the woods? With the elves?" She asked and she didn't sound so happy.
"They never said with us. Just in the woods." Forest added.
"Well we couldn't leave them for dead in the middle of the woods could we? You know what's out there." Said the queen.
What was out there? I asked myself. I've been in the woods tons of times, but to be honest I've never been in them during the night. No matter how brave the four of us sound we would never set foot in the woods at night.
"I shall take pity on these humans for we have never experienced the presence of them except the king." Explained the queen. "These humans will live with Fabian and Gary since Fabian seems to have taken charge of the situation."
"So we can stay?" Exclaimed Selestia. Obviously excited. I bet it was because we were told to stay at Fabian's and the two of them seemed to have clicked.
"Yes the four of you can stay until father notice. I will be speaking to the king about the burning of your village, for that village was close to woods and a fire could have started." Stated the queen.
The king. So this was all his fault?! I swear to whatever God there is the king will perish before I forgive him for killing my family and taking away my childhood. I could feel the anger burning through my eyes as I stared at my hands that were folded in front of me.
"Well it's settled then." Fabian turned around and smiled at the four of us. "Come on I'll show you all around." He turned back around towards the queen. "Thank you my lady. You will not regret this." He called to her already pushing us out the door.
