It wasn't hard to find the throne room, it was at the end of the long hallway. The entrance consisted of two ginormous doors that led into a red carpeted room. The king's chair sat at the end and along with the queen's.

Standing at the entrance you could see the layer of dust that covered the queen's chair. It sat there longing for someone to sit in it. The queen had died a few years back and the King had never found another wife.

"There's no one here." I said "they must be somewhere else."

"The Kings sick," said Felicity "they must be in his bedroom."

Great. It was hard enough to get inside the castle and it's going to be even harder to get inside the Kings bedroom.

"Come on let's go." Said Octavian leading the way out of the throne room.

The four of us shuffled our way out down the long hallway until we found a staircase. We could hear voices at the top.

Slowly we made our way up the staircase. I drew my sword. It wasn't the best idea because no one knew for sure what was at the top.

What was at the top was not what I was expecting. The king lay in his bed covered in a sheet symbolizing his death. Fredrick sat in a chair with his legs swung over the side.

Selestia , Emmaline and Fabian were all sitting against a wall and insted of finding my father he had found them.

My father. The last time I saw him was when he took Selestia and I out to the woods just before he left on his trip, Before this mess happened. Its been so long.

"Well, Well, We were just about to come looking for you and here you are what a surprise." Smirked Fredrick still sitting in the chair.

I glanced Selestia tied up against the wall. Her eyes were red from crying. I wanted to go over there and cry with her, but I couldn't.

Fredrick stood up from his chair. His arm, still wrapped in bloody bandages, hung limp at his side.

"Take their weapons and tie them up!" commanded Fredrick to the guards.

All of them charged forward. I grabbed my sword,Felicity and Gary shot arrows, and Octavian slashed with his daggers. The guards weren't the problem. I ran over to my sister still tied up. I was trying to untie her when someone stabbed my arm. Selestia screamed through her mouth gag and I grabbed my arm. I pulled my hand cover in blood.

I looked up to see my attacker. My father stood above me his face unreadable. I stood up to face him. He bent down by Selestia and put the dagger at her throat. "Drop your weapon or she dies." He said in a monotone voice.

"This isn't him" I thought.

I remembered the day he bought me my first sword in the village and he took me too the woods for the first time. I was five. He was everything I wanted to be. Now he's threating my sister.

I screamed all my anger from the past few days was let out and with that I stabbed my father straight threw the heart before he could hurt Selestia.

Emmaline, And Fabian just stared. Selestia was crying and by now I was too.

I cut off their ropes and turned around to see that more guards have arrived.

What was I thinking. Fredrick's King he has an army now. We can't win this. Not now. "We have to go!" I yelled

Fredrick glared. "Stop them!"

I opened a window. "Fabian get to the bottom and help."

He jumped out without even climbing.

All of us slowly made it down.

We ran the guards would be after us any second through the forest. The sun was coming up. Sunrise. I thought back to our house. "This is my second sunrise," I thought. "I'm going to live to see a third."
