Chapter 5

We walked out of the house. Emmaline and Felicity stood outside. By the looks of it they had already been to their house. Forest and his group of elves were stalking around the village trampling through each of the burnt houses. Fabian walked over to group. No one lifted their head to look at him.

"What happened here?" Said Fabian.

"Isn't it obvious." I muttered. "Someone burned down the entire village and we could of helped if you just let us go ahead!" I yelled at the entire group of elves.

I was in a mix of emotions. I would have tackled Forest if Emmaline hadn't held me back.

"Octavia calm down." She coaxed.

I pulled my arm away from her grip and stormed over to Gary. I grabbed my sword from his hand.

"We have no home now." I explained, "We all are going to live in the woods. Since this is partly your fault." I pointed a my finger at Forest.

He opened his mouth to protest but Fabian cut him off.

"She's right Forest." He sighed, "we will have to bring them to the queen and explain what happened."

Forest stood there staring at Fabian like he couldn't believe what he had said.

"Fabian it's not that eas-"

"No Forest!" Fabian shouted. "You've been a jerk this whole trip to them! Now look at this!" He waved his hand around gesturing at the burnt village. "The least we can do for them is take them to see the queen!"

Forest stood there pale faced and staring wide eyed at Fabian like he would have never expected him to say anything like that.

Fabian walked over to Selestia and gave her back her hunting knife.

"Give them back their weapons." Fabian commanded.

The third elf gave Felicity her bow and arrows and Forest reluctantly gave Emmaline back her sword.

"Go see if you can manage to find anything or any survivors in the houses Jonathan." Fabian said to the third elf. Now I knew his name.

"And you four pack up what you can and make yourselves presentable. We are going to see Queen Fawn."
