"What do you mean?" I ask
I study his expression, he looked like he had just been caught in an illegal act
He doesn't respond to my question,
He takes a deep breath and leans against the wall
"Suzzie all I'm saying is that you should give me a chance to prove to you that working with me is a lot more better" youth says pleadingly,
Suzzie? Who gave him the right to use my nick? We weren't even friends,
But There was something about the way he called me that made my knees grow weak.
It was soothing
For a moment I held his gaze, there was something in his eyes that reminded me about how blue the oceans were
Even if every fibre in me fought against giving in,
But I just couldn't resist such a charm,
"Fine, you have three days to convince me that working with you isn't a bad idea" I finally say ,
He sighs in relief ,
And he gave me a warm smile
I was caught of guard
I wasn't expecting it,
His smile bores into my heart
I can feel chills running down my spine
What is he doing to me? Never in my life have I felt this way, no man had ever been able to get to me, through high school and college I never for once got swayed by any man, Instead of partying and mixing up like every other young girl, I buried my self in my books and painting
It was my way of hiding from the world,
I had shut everyone out including my dad,
I had no friends too
I was such a loner, when I got into college I loosened up a bit, I had a few friends , a lot of guys often made passes at me but I barely spared them a glance nor gave them my attention, I got invited to so many parties but I honoured none of the invitations,
I often received several gifts from secret admirers but they ended up in my waste bin .

Buying me lunch wouldn't be such a bad idea, the churning sound my stomach , reminded me that I was hungry ,

We both laugh.
We head out for lunch , he drives a black SUV jeep , he drives us to a small restaurant few blocks away from bransheight , I dreaded the type of food sold at bransheight canteen , it was too poor for such a big company .
Youth drove to Nicol's, Nicol's was a small restaurant few blocks away from bransheight, their meals were great ,
We placed our order .
We ate in awkward silence and headed back to brandheight
"Thanks for the meal" I say as soon as I get out of the car
"Anytime" he replies.
