I head back to the dining room, I just hope rich gets here in time ,
"Where were you" mom asks as she shoved a small ball of potato into her mouth ,
"To the rest room" i replied dryly as i began to eat ,
"It took like forever, living your guest out here all alone" mom said
"Don't tell me you about to start questioning my whereabout even in my house, besides she's not my guest but yours, you invited her" I say bluntly as I angrily shoved the food into my mouth
"Hey young man don't you go getting rude with me" mom blasted
Thankfully I heard the doorbell
"I'll get it" I say as I stand up and head for the door
Just as i had thought, it was Richie
"Yo man" he barks as soon as I open the door
"Shh keep you voice down" I scolded
We both head back to the dining room to announce my leave,
"Wow! Mom you've been in Chicago and neither of you gave me a call" Richie says acting ignorant, gosh he was always so good at acting, he moved to greet my mom, she quickly envelopes him in an unbreakable hug,
"No boy, I hadn't planned on coming down here but your ass of a friend dragged me out of my comfort zone as usual" mom said bitterly as she glared at me
"Hahahaha" Richie laughed, gosh they were both beginning to annoy me
"Meet lovely Alice, she lives next door, she's been such a great company, I'm sure youth likes her too" mom said to Richard as she introduces her to Alice , I hadn't even remembered she was still there,
Gosh mom is crazy, how can she say I like Alice? That's a blatant lie, she's just keep giving the poor girl hopeful ideas ,
Richie smile broadened as he waves at Alice, the both say their hellos , gosh this is all irritating
"Join us for dinner, let me get you some food, you look too lean, I'm sure you both has killing yourselves with can foods, i do wonder when last you did have a nice cooked meal " mom said to Richie
He look like he was already falling for her charm ,
I glared at him to remind him of our plan
" that would be lovely mom, but we've gotta leave right now , our boss urgently asked us to do something very important at work, he said we'd be having visitors at the company tomorrow morning, so I came to fetch youth" Richie explained.
"Uuhn too bad, your boss should know better than to stress my boys, I don't mind giving him a piece of my mind" my mom said seeming a little pissed,
We both smile and head out I spare Alice a glance , she had sorrow written all over her face, she's been quiet all through,
Richie was may saving grace.
It feels so good to finally resume work, I just hope mom doesn't find her way here, it would be the death of me, she initially planned on staying in Chicago for the next one week, I had to convince her to shorten her stay, she'd be leaving for Ohio tomorrow morning.
I hear a knock at the door,
"Come in" I say looking down at the files on my table
"Good morning Mr benson" a female voice says, I quickly look up to see Susan standing before me, elegantly dressed in a black tan top on a blue plain skirt that hangs perfectly around her hips , making her curves visible ,
Gosh
It took every strength in me to grab her by her waist .
"Hi, morning miss Williams, how may I help you" I ask her as I quickly turn my attention back to my files,
"One of my tuxedos designs has been chosen for production, I received a sample to confirm its authenticity, I checked it out , it seemed okay, now all is left is for you to try it out and take some photo shoots for subsequent advertising" susan explains ,
My eyes were fixed on her lips all through her explanation ,
"Nmmmhp" Susan clears her throat , and I'm snapped back to reality
"Oh okay sure, I'll be in the studio in 20mins " I say with my attention raptly focused on my files .
"I'd need you to come for the shoots now, Mr Evans will be coming along with Mr David the advertising manager in the next 30mins , there's no time to waste" Susan says firmly, as her lips form into a stubborn line , I believe she has a thing for giving orders, who does she think she is ordering me around, Mr Evans and David can wait for all I care
"I'll be out in 20mins " I repeat ignoring what she had just said.
She furrows her eye brows and a deep frown is plastered on her beautiful face,
Any normal man would apologize to this goddess before me for no reason, just to avoid seeing her frown, but I was no normal man, and I wasn't about caring how she felt, she doesn't get to order me around, besides I think she looks dangerously cuter when vexed.
