Spring days had always been some of your favorite. The sun was out, the air was cool and crisp- all around a lovely grounded feeling. You awoke to the sun intruding through your blue curtains, a soft breeze blowing them from their place. It was the groups third day in Alexandria, and you were all still stuck to each other. Every member of the group slept in the same house, not daring to let one go out on their own. Despite the kindness of the Alexandrians, you didn't fully trust them yet, nor did most other members of the group.

You flipped onto your back, staring up at the ceiling. The light breathing of Tara beside you brought the feeling of comfort. You and Glenn were originally going to have the room to yourselves, but when the rooms ended up running short, the two of you kindly welcomed Tara with open arms until another house was prepared for the group. Tara offered to sleep on the ground, to which Glenn obliged, saying that he would sleep on the floor beside you. You didn't mind though, seeing as Tara had been your best friend for lord knows how long.

You slowly sat up, trying not to wake Tara from her peaceful slumber. Tilting your head over the edge of the bed, you saw Glenn was gone. Your eyes swiftly darted around the room as you looked for him, not seeing him anywhere. As you stood up, the door swiftly creaked open, revealing Glenn with what looked like some breakfast.

He began speaking,
"Hey are you two hungry? I made som-"

"Shh!" You interrupted, pointing to the sleeping Tara. Glenn nodded understandingly, but to your dismay, Tara sat up tiredly, rubbing her eyes before declaring, "I'm up."

You laughed lightly, running a hand through your tangled hair before standing up, the duvet falling gracefully from your frame. You shivered from the contact of your bare feet touching the cold hardwood floor as you walked over to your drawer, pulling out your clothes for the day.

"We've got that run today," Glenn spoke, crossing behind you and sitting down on the edge of the bed. You sighed, beginning to drag a brush through your soft hair.

"With the same two jackasses that almost got Tara killed?" You catechized, furrowing your brows as you turned, sitting next to Glenn while Tara began to eat the food he had brought in.

Glenn nodded, causing a groan to escape between your chapped lips in dismay as you ripped off a piece of waffle and popped into your mouth. Aiden and Nicholas really got on your nerves.

"On the bright side," Glenn began, watching as you and Tara chowed down, "Noah decided to join us again and Eugene will be coming too."

"Hell yeah!" Tara rejoiced, causing a few laughs to come from both you and Glenn. Noah was always fun to have around, he fit in perfectly with the group and never failed to make everyone smile.

Silence fell over the room as you and Tara scarfed down the rest of your waffles, Glenn loading up all the bags with anything that may come in handy. You swiftly hopped in the shower, getting dressed immediately afterwards. Tara jumped in the shower after you.

As you finished tying the laces on your combat boots, Noah came into the room, sitting down next to you. Tara walked out of the bathroom fully dressed and ready to go, Glenn throwing her bag to her.

"You sure we can't just go do this on our own? We have more experience than those two lunatics." you jocked, adjusting your navy t shirt as you stood up,

"Maybe Rick could get them to ease off us." you continued.
Glenn sighed, swinging his bag over his shoulder,

"As far as I've seen they aren't listening to a thing Rick has to say." you nodded knowingly, putting your gun in its holster.

You appreciated Deanna's hospitality, you really did. You just weren't too keen on being bossed around by someone you barely knew- someone who hadn't done as much for you as Rick had. You took one last look at yourself in the mirror, pulling your braids over your shoulders to rest on your collar bones.
