"You don't get to do that- come into somebody's life, make them care, and- and then just check out!"

You remembered Dale speaking those very words to Andrea and you back at the CDC. You remembered Glenn begging you to come with him, telling you that he wouldn't be able to live without you.

You couldn't lie, you were glad you decided to leave the CDC before it went up in flames. You had grown close to many people since then, you had lost people since then, and you had gained people since then.

But you never thought you would understand how Dale felt in that moment. But now his words made more sense than ever. Now you felt the way that he had when you were trying to give up, to kill yourself alongside Andrea, Jacqui, and Dr.Jenner.

You wished you didn't understand those words. You wished everything would just stop. First it was Hershel, who had become sort of a mentor to you. Then it was Bob, who was practically your brother in law. He made your sister smile, and you loved him for that. But now he's gone.

Then it was Beth. You had known her since everything at her father's farm, but overtime she became a bit of a younger sister to you. The two of you, alongside Maggie, were very close. Now she's gone.

Then, the next day, today, it was Tyreese. You're big brother. You had been adopted into the Williams family when you were a toddler. Tyreese was always there for you and Sasha. Now, he's gone. And the both of you are here.

"ONE SWING, CLEAN, GO!" you cringed as you heard the noise of Michonne's katana slicing through the bone of Tyreese's arm, which you had been holding out with Glenn. You quickly dropped the severed arm, rushing quickly to your brother, taking towels from Rick and pressing them against the remains of his arm.

"We gotta get him up and go, now!" Rick yelled to you. You nodded, knowing he meant that him and Glenn were going to lift him and help him walk. You stepped back, tears streaming your cheeks as your breathing grew heavy. As soon as they got Tyreese to his feet, you ran down the hallway and through the front door, killing anything in your path.

Michonne and Noah were right beside you. You held back tears as you made it to the front gate. There was a small group of walkers outside it. Of course there was. You stood back, helping Noah hold up your big brother as you fired your gun at walkers.

It was all going so quickly. One minute you were running through the woods, next you were speeding down the road in the van, trying to get your brother to focus on you.

"Carol, we're gonna need to cauterize the wound. Get Sasha and Carl away, they don't need to see this."  Rick spoke through the walkie.

You sat between Tyreese and Noah, Glenn's hand resting on your shoulder.

"Turn it off." Tyreese whispered faintly, before his eyes rolled shut. You quickly positioned yourself in front of him, turning his lifeless face towards yours.

"Ty! Come on, come on Ty! Not you! Please stay!" You sobbed, shaking your older brother's shoulders. Glenn watched you in horror, tears welling in his eyes as he witnessed you begging your brother to hang on to life.
