Beth woke in a forest, she was no longer in the comfort of her boyfriend's arms that she had fallen asleep in. She was in the grasp of the chills of the icy forest that she awoke in.
She stood up, Peter's sweatshirt hanging loosely on her body keeping her warm and her sweatpants providing no protection from the sharp stings of ice hitting her skin. Her icy blue eyes scanned her surroundings, trying to figure out where she was.
A voice called out to her, raising goosebumps on her skin and sending a chill down her spine. Her fists balled up beside her.
Preparing herself if someone tried to attack her, "don't worry, I won't hurt you."
Beth whipped around, her hair slapping her in the face. A woman stood there, Bethany walked closer until her body slammed into an almost invisible ice wall that kept her from getting any closer to this mysterious woman.
Beth tilted her head trying to wrap her head around who this was. Her vision focused on her reflection in the ice, Beth's eyes widened as she saw the similarities in herself that she had with this woman.
She held up her hand, Beth stepped back as a symbol engraved itself into the ice between them.
"Help us," Beth's eyes widened as she disappeared in front of her eyes. "Help us," kept repeating throughout the forest, it kept getting louder and louder. Beth spun around as she heard the calls of crows from the trees above her.
Golden-dipped crows flew at her with lightning speed, Beth screamed as her powers failed her and she was stuck at the mercy of their attacks. She crumpled onto the snow as their claws scratched her skin, blood flowing out of her body. Their sharp beaks pecking at her, Beth let out a fear-filled scream and then she woke up.
Her body thrashed around as she woke up, the covers that gave her warmth now felt like they were encasing her. Peter's eyes flew open as he threw the covers off of her body pulling her into his embrace.
His hands now used to the cold spark as she almost froze him until she recognized the feeling of his arms around her. "You're okay, you're okay." He whispered into her ear, his eyes widened as he felt her violently shaking against him. Beth fell into his embrace, relaxing under his touch. "You're okay."

"So you think your birth mom was trying to talk to you in your sleep?" Tony asked. "I don't know if it's her but we looked so alike and I just felt drawn to her, like I had to find her." Beth twiddled with her fingers as they continued the conversation. "Well, why would she be trying to talk to you after all this time?" Peter questioned.
"She was crying out for help, leaving clues I think. If this is really her, I have to try to find her." Tony shook his head, "you don't even know where she might be. It may just have been a dream."
Beth sighed, "yeah, I know. It was a dumb idea anyway." She went to get up and walk away but Tony grabbed her arm, "hey, it's not dumb. I'll look into it, see what I can find."

Sleeping was anything but peaceful, the demons inside her head created visions that plagued her mind. She sat in total darkness and she found no comfort in the silence, she felt alone and scared.
Her body trembled violently as she spun around calling for help, it was like she was trapped in an endless hell. Her worst fear of being alone coming to life in front of her.
Her eyes snapped to a flicker of light and she sprinted over to it. Her legs burned as she pushed herself towards the light wanting to escape and when she finally fumbled to the other side it was anything but peaceful.
