Peter.
Peter Parker.
Wake up.
Peter if you don't wake up I'm dropping water on you.
"Peter, time to get up!" Beth huffed as he refused to get out of bed, she watched as he shoved his head under his pillow. "We have a field trip today and I don't really feel like being late." He mumbled something back to her incoherently, causing her to let out another frustrated groan. She was just about to freeze him or dump water on his head to wake him up.
Instead, she grabbed his shoulder flipping him around as he let out a confused noise.
Peter's eyes blinked trying to figure out what was going on when her lips were on his, she crawled over so she was on top of him. His hand rested on her back while her's was pressed against the sides of his face. Peter's face flushed as he deepened the kiss, one of her hands running through his messy curls.
Beth pulled away smiling, "alright, now get up." Peter groaned as she jumped off the top bunk. Beth grinned to herself as she faced the mirror in his room. Her hands fiddling with the necklace around her neck, Tony had given it to her after she recovered from being stabbed.
Tony had enhanced her necklace with his new bleeding edge nanotech. Her suit now two taps away from protecting her body, her dad making sure she wouldn't be getting stabbed any time soon.
Peter left the room to go change in the other room. Beth shut the door as she changed into her clothes. Jumping around as she shimmied into her skinny jeans, pulling off Peter's shirt that she slept in she tugged on one of her grey sweaters. The end of the shirt stopping at the scar on her stomach, her grip on her shirt tightened as she tried controlling her hands that had begun to shake.
While Beth wrapped up in her grief and guilt from her mother's death, Tony and Peter had both discovered that her powers grew stronger from the sacrifice of her mother. But darkness rested inside of her as Zena's power lifeforce also helped bring her back. Beth still carried the guilt of her mother's death on her shoulders, but Peter and Tony have been more active with helping her through her meltdowns. Not wanting a repeat of last time.
Beth and Tony have both been on the lookout for other people from the planet her people fleed from. This time working together to figure out where they could find them. But from the many years they spent hidden on Earth, it was harder to find them.
Beth pulled down her shirt completely covering up her scar. Beth looked up into the mirror seeing Peter smiling behind her, turning around to face him she reciprocated the smile. "What?" She tilted her head slightly as he moved closer to her, "nothing, just love you." Beth's smile grew wider as she placed another kiss on his lips, "I love you too, Spider-baby."
Peter pulled away, "alright, hands." It became a common routine for someone to check her hands to see if they were shaking. Her trembling hands were usually a common red flag that something was wrong. Beth bit her lip as she held her slightly shaking hands behind her, "I'm fine."
Peter smiled playfully at her, "oh, really." Beth reciprocated his smile as she ducked under his way heading for the door. Peter sped over his hands going around her waist as he spun her around. Their laughs echoing through the room as Beth's nerves calmed slightly. Peter placed Beth down his hands wrapped around her wrists, pulling her hands out in front of them.
Her hands were shaking slightly, Beth balled her fists pulling them out of Peter's hold. "Is something bothering you?" Beth shook her head as she laced her fingers together, "I don't know. I just feel like somethings going to happen today." Peter stared at her worriedly as his senses were also on edge since he woke up. They were both cut off as May called out from the kitchen, "Beth! Peter! Come on, you're going to be late."
