Frostbite - TWO

"Peter wants to talk to you."

Bethany let out a nervous breath before heading to Peter's room. She knocked on the door before stepping inside. Peter's head lifted up from where he sat on his bed.

He lifted up the webbing container that she froze earlier. "You froze this. How?" Beth went and sat next to him.

"When I was little, Tony said he found me in a river. It was the middle of winter and any normal human would have frozen to death." Peter watched her as she spoke.

"Tony took me in, and when I woke up. I think I was startled because my entire room turned to ice." She explained.

"Tony helped me control my powers and now here we are." Peter looked at her in amazement.

"Are you going to Germany too?" He asked, still feeling nervous about leaving.

"Yeah, I'm probably just gonna be putting out the fires." Beth laughs.

They kept talking, Peter giving his explanation on how he got his powers, how she had never left her apartment before until today.

They both walked out of the room to see Tony standing right in the hallway.

"So, when do we leave?"

Tony already left for Germany, leaving Happy to bring Peter and Beth to Germany.

Peter brought along his camera and was recording the entire time there. When he saw the private jet he looked at it in awe.

"Should I use the bathroom before or after?" Peter asked.

"There's a bathroom on it," Happy said, trying to get on the plane as fast as he could.

Peter turned the camera to her, "Beth, are you seeing this?!" He exclaimed.

"Yes, Peter. I've got eyes." She laughed. They boarded the private jet. Peter and Bethany sat across from each other. Happy eyes them suspiciously but still sat down at the back of the jet.

"Is this your first time?" Beth asks.

"W-what?" Peter stutters, awkwardly.

"On a plane?"

"Oh, um, yeah." He coughs awkwardly. Beth just laughs at him, her hands in front of her playing with water.

She made a bubble of water and made it slowly move towards Peter. "Not the camera, Beth." Peter laughed, moving the camera to another seat.

"That's not what I was aiming for," she smirked and dropped the water on his head. Beth started laughing, and Peter smiled at her.

The jet started to prepare to take off, Peter jumped in his seat. "Is it supposed to make that sound?" He asked worriedly.

"Yeah, it's just preparing to take off," she assured him. There was another loud rumble, "Beth, I don't know if I can do this?"

"Do what?"

"We're going to fight superheroes who are so much stronger than I am," he says looking down.

"I just don't want to let Mr. Stark down."

Bethany grabbed his hand from across the table. "You won't, besides this is my first time actually seeing people that are not from my window."

Peter smiled at her excitement, already feeling calmer. Happy watched the teens from his seat, having a small smile on his face. He knew that those kids are bound to do something extraordinary.
