The snow crunched against Peter's feet as he stumbled out of the castle and ran blindly into the woods, the winds had picked up causing the cold snowflakes to knick his skin. His eyes strained as he tried to see through the heavy downfall of snow that prohibited his vision for more than a few yards.

Peter's body shivered as the sweatshirt and jeans were doing nothing against the dropping temperature that was no doubt caused by whatever Zena did to Beth. Peter wrapped his arms around himself as he tried to keep warm, and by some miracle, his trembling body stumbled across a small cave.

Rushing inside he took off his backpack before pulling his suit on, the heaters kicking in automatically from his low body temperature. The hairs on the back of his neck rose as he gripped the web-shooters on his wrist, firing into the dark abyss. A spike of ice shot out of the ground causing Peter to dive out of the way, rolling onto the ground he webbed his backpack into his arm.

Peter's feet slammed against the ground as he ran for the exit of the cave, he skidded to a stop when a wall of ice rose from the ground blocking the exit. Peter's heavy breathing echoed throughout the cave, "Beth?"

Turning around slowly as he heard footsteps approaching him, a woman, with similar icy white hair and almost identical eyes to Bethany, stood there. "Who are you?" Her voice pierced through the tense air, the eyes on Peter's suit widened from his shocked expression underneath.

"You're-" He started his sentence but she cut him off, "her mother."

Peter's breath faltered, then who was that woman with Beth.

"Oh shit."

With the entrance of the cave blocked, Peter had started to warm up as the rapid winds were blocked outside. He sat on the floor with his back against the cave, the unknown woman sat across from him in the same position.

"What's your name?" Peter questioned, he rubbed his hands together for warmth. "Alora. How do you know my daughter?" Peter's eyebrows furrowed as he crossed his arms, "how do I know you're really her mother?"

Alora gave him a look to almost say 'really', Peter shrank back into the wall as he realized that was probably a stupid question but you could never be too careful. Alora sat up straighter, "why are you here?"

Peter's eyes widened in realization as he remembered what he saw back at the castle, "there was this woman, Zena, and she was helping Beth with controlling her powers which is why we came here. But then Beth and I got into a fight and I left her alone. Then, I went back cause it was getting really cold."

Peter stopped his rambling as he saw Alora's panicked look, she looked towards him to tell him to keep going. "I think they were talking about her birth father or something. So, Zena was telling her to lose control, and then she did this weird thing where she put her hand on Beth's head and when Beth opened her eyes they looked like ice."

Alora stood up and started pacing around, her footsteps the only thing being heard for a moment. "Who is that woman?" Peter got up slowly, still leaning against the wall. "Zena is my sister. She was the cause of the destruction of our planet and the death of Bethany's father."

'Our planet, Arkadia, consisted of many different people who could control different things. To keep order our planet was divided into three sections; fire, ice, and earth. The ones who could control water and ice were advocated as the King or Queen of the planet, our powers were passed down by each generation. I was born with my mother's water and ice powers but Zena was born with our father's powers of controlling minds and the darkness.'
