I found myself at a Titos Pub again. I sat

in the same seat as last night. Liam was here as well. I found it comforting that I had a mate to drink with. We tipped our heads back and took the shot. Liam was a small guy. Well then again I was tall. I shook my hair and order another drink.

When alcohol was swimming in my veins I felt alive. The alcohol made me feel comfort when nothing else could. Alcohol was the crutch I always hung on. It helped me forget things that were to painful. Like this whole afternoon at the prison. Something came over me, and I couldn't be there anymore.

My mother's death was becoming so real. All of the details didn't add up. I think I would have to go back to the prison by myself so I could ask more personal questions. I wanted to get to know my mother. Even though she was dead I felt like it was a duty of mine to know.

Liam slapped my shoulder. "What are you thinking of man? Your thinking so deep."

"Got a lot going on in this head." I say and point to my head.

"Gotcha. I believe you need a haircut. Men around here don't ever let their hair get out of control." Liam said.

"Good thing I am not from here. I need a good place to cut my hair." I say.

"I know a place. Would you like to go now? They're open 24/7."

I tap my fingers against the bar as I take another shot. "Why the hell not?" I ask.

He starts to chuckle as he grips my shoulder and let's go. He walks out of the bar and towards the door. "Bye Myra!" He and I yell.

"Bye bye boys!" She smirks at us.

As we were walked down the streets of Astoria at midnight, I couldn't help but notice how alive it was. For such a small town it was so alive. There were bonfires going, people having a good time in the town. I had never seen anything like it.

"So what brings you to this dead town? I never asked." Liam says.

"My mother." I say.

"Ah, growing up here was boring. I couldn't see why anybody would just want to show up." He says.

"It's been a long time coming for me to be here."

"Well I hope Astoria brings you everything you need."

Liam didn't seem like a trouble maker. He seemed like a laid back guy.

"Somebody told me that you were involved in a crash?" I bring up.

"Was it the Clarks?"

I nod and blow out a breath I was holding. "Imogen." I say.

"I was friends with Lukas. We were almost like brothers. I didn't find out until a week later. Imogen thinks I had something to do with it." He says as he lights a cigarette.

"Alright." I say.

"You want one?" he asks me.

"Yea."

He flips open his pack of cigarettes and I pull one out. He reaches into his pocket and grabs a lighter. I put this cigarette to my mouth and light it up.

I I hale deeply listening to the sizzle of the paper. I close my eyes as I let the smoke build up in my lungs. I exhale blowing out a breath of smoke. I can feel the nicotine kicking in my bloodstream.
