Gina's POV

Tragedy is inevitable. It will not hide and you cannot run from it. It doesn't care who you are, what you have been through, if you're a good person or not. If tragedy strikes, you cannot avoid it. I don't understand why this happened or even how it did. I don't know why it did, but it isn't fair.

As I sit in the waiting room in the hospital, the events have stopped playing in my mind. People are rushing around everywhere with other things on their minds. There was only one thing on my mind. Harry.

Was he okay? Or was he dead? I didn't know. All I know is that I need to get an update soon. I couldn't have this heavy heart weigh me down. I needed to see those green eyes again. I needed to see that dimpled smile one more time. I needed to feel his skin against my skin. I needed Harry to be okay.

A nurse walked his way towards me. A clip board in his hand and a look of sorrow in his eyes. His light green scrubs did well for his dark skin tone. I shook that thought out of my head once he stopped in front of me.

"Hello, my name is Donte, I am the trauma nurse that is helping with the incident. There are several other nurses working on Harold at the moment. From what we can tell without any scans, is that he is not doing well. I am here to tell you that a doctor will be out shortly to discuss his condition." Donte says to me.

I nod, as my hands form around my mouth. Tears manage their way into my eyes. How could this happen? Why did this have to happen as soon as we came back here? We made it all the way back to Oregon, but we never made it back to my Nanny's.

"Thank you Donte." I tell him. I was thankful that he told me something about Harry's condition. It had been more information that I had gotten now than I had got in the last several hours.

"I do have a few questions to ask you, however, I am sorry. I know that it isn't the best situation, but we have to file them for his claim." He tells me.

"Wouldn't his insurance have to talk to him? I don't know much about it. I will try my best to answer everything." I tell him.

"Okay. What is your relation to Harry? Only immediate family can really know his status." Donte says, clicking his pen and looking me in the eyes.

I was just his girlfriend. I wasn't immediate family. I was the only person he had. His mother was dead, his father was on the other side of the country, and his aunt was in jail. The only other family member was Gemma. Gemma hadn't known Harry but a few days, but she was just as tore up about this as I was.

She was the closest family he had, but it didn't seem right for her to know before I did. Did his father even know? Panic rushes through my body. How was I supposed to feel?

"I am his wife." I tell Donte.

"Okay, how long have you two been married?" He asks me, writing something down.

I close my eyes and try to recall how long it has been since we had met. It has been about 2 and a half months.

"Just a few months." I tell him.

Donte nods as he continues to write. "Is there anybody else that we should call about this?" He asks me.

"His mother is dead and his father is on the other side of the country, not that they are really close." I blabber. "His aunt is in jail just up the road. I don't know. I am so worried about him. I cannot answer any more questions. Please tell me how he is. I cannot possibly wait any more." I tell him.
