¿Dance?

Saturday morning
Indigo woke up the next day and did some homework. Around 3 she got dressed for her least favorite holiday. She thought that if she could make Andres night happier maybe that night wouldn't be too bad. Just then she got a text from Shane.

Shane: picking you up soon see you in a few :)

She braided a section of her hair pined it's back . She put on some makeup and lipgloss then she put on a red dress with a black belt around the wait and small black shoes. Then their was a knock on her door. It was Shane.

   "Hey Shane ." Indigo said. "Hey Indigo. You okay ?" "Yeah just trying to get through the day without all the lovey dovey stuff." "Wait you don't like Valentine's Day ?" "Yeah I feel like it's just an sappy holiday." "Oh I mean I guess." "But anyway are  you dancing with today?" Indigo asked. "Just as a group how about you ?" "Group and Andre." "You like Andre !!!" Shane screamed. "NO ! no no , Zöe stood him up and I think he really liked her. So to make up for that I'll dance with him." "Don't you want your first slow dance to be with someone you like though." "I've slowed danced before and it's not that big of a deal." Indigo said without hesitation. "Okay."

They went in the car and drove to the restaurant and met eveyone.

   The whole football team was already their preparing for the Valentines Dance. Indigo went to go set up flowers on tables. They place was coming together.

   "Wow guys I didn't think we could pull it off but we did. It's looks so romantic!" Indigo said. "Yeah we surprised ourselves I think." Andre said. "Remember guys part starts at 3 and ends at 6:30 then we clean up ato get ready for the dinner and dancing. Got it !" Troy asked sternly. "Got it they all said." The all went to finish up the store. 
     "Wow Troy what a leader you are maybe you should be QB!" Indigo said. "Naw I think I'll leave that up to you ." "Hey your ties on wrong." "Oh um." "Troy do you not know how to tie a tie ?" Indigo said with a laugh. "Um no not really." Troy said embarrassed. "I do hold on tho.

     She ran to get a box and stood on it.
"I could have kneeled." Troy said. "That would make you look stupid plus this is easier." She said as she tied the tie. "All done she said." "Thanks."

  Just them then she slipped off the box. Troy caught her mid fall.

   "Are you okay ?!" Troy said. "Yeah Thanks Troy ." "Okay that's good." He said letting her back on her feet. "I'm go and finish setting up." Indigo said. And she ran off.
They finished setting up the area and people came in. The music started and people seemed to be having a great time. "How are we doing so far?" Indigo said coming back from the dance floor. "Looks like we have $250 right now that pretty good since we have been open for only and hour." Troy said "come on Troy leave the table for a little and dance !!" Cinya said. "Naw I really should stay here and watch the table if more people come in. " "Come on Troy please come out and dance." This time Indigo said it and reaching her hand on to him.

The whole whole team look at him and shook their hands saying yes. "I'll take over and make sure people pay." Jazzy said. Troy smiled and took Indigos hand to the dance floor. The team clapped and cheered.

It was a pretty fast paced song and eveyone was pretty much jumping around and dancing. Troy was still holding on to Indigo had and spun her around. She laughed. She a Troy "danced" together for a little until the joined the group. Next thing the heard was a partner Dance challenged. They had to do the salsa.

"YOU CAN WIL 1,000 dollars! INDIGO YOU SHOULD TRY!!!" Ciniya said. The whole team looked confused. Indigo turned red. "You know how to dance salsa?" Andre said. "Yeah but I would have to do it with a partner so I doesn't make any since too do it." "I know how to salsa my parents taught me ." Troy said quietly. "Really ?!" Eveyone one said in unison. "Yeah." "Guys I still don't know I'm not the good I....." "you'll be fine plus the money will go to help us go to Paris !" Troy said cutting her off. Eveyone now looked at the both of them . Then stared at Indigo. "Remember how you taught me how to dance the other day? I was super scared and nervous but now Im so glad I can . Don't let fear stop you." Andre said. She was turning even more red. Troy grab her hand . "Can you trust me on this." Indigo looked down at her hand then to the group and then at Troy. She was as red as a fire truck and everyone could see .
"Fine this is the only time I will ever do this." Indigo said firmly.

"YAYA." They all said. Troy and Indigo went to go warm up.

"Why don't you like to salsa ." Troy said. "Who said I didn't like to." Indigo said. "I mean you were pretty red when we asked you to dance." "Oh it's just really embarrassing and it reminds me of Valentine's Day and Love and all that stuff." "Oh ." Troy said. "Yea it's not that I don't like romance it's just something eles . But let's focus." Indigo said.

"Yeah we got this don't worry just follow my lead." Troy said just as the song "Mi Gente" come on. They started to dance.

"Don't look at your feet look at me. Move to the beat you got this." Troy said. Indigo looked up . "Move your hips more and smile you look miserable." Troy said laughing. "Oh shut up !" Indigo said laughing. She finally moved to the beat and moved faster. "Aye see let's try going harder.

He spun her around quickly. Then they moved to the beat faster than before. Eveyone one is the crowd was cheering a whistling. Even coach. She put her leg on Troys side and he we able to lift her in the air. The crowed went wild. "Ayyeeeeee." The team screamed . The music was about to end .

"Time for the big finish !!" Troy said. He spun her several times and then diped her. The crowd went wild. He lifted her back up and the music ended. "Oh my god Troy that was amazing!" She said hugging him. "You were amazing!!" He said laughing. Then the went to the back and cleared the floor.
"YOU WERE GRET." Troy said as the we're leaving the dance floor !! "NO YOU WERE THANK YOU SO MUCH !!" "Yeah no problem i hope we win." "Yeah me too." She said back then it became quite and the just looked at each other. They got close.
Is he about to kiss me. She wondered. He hugged her. "We got this!" He said taking her hand to the dance floor.
