Graduation

Indigo put on her dress for the graduation. The let her hair down out of the braids . She added mascara and lipgloss to the look and then grabbed her cap and gown . She didn't really understand why they put this much work into an 8th grade graduation but she felt really proud.

     "Hey sweetie you look beautiful." Indigos mom said "thanks mom ! I'm trying." "You don't need to try you already are. Don't forget the dinner tonight with your friends." "I won't thanks." She looked at herself one more times and waiter for her parents to get ready.

They all left together and Indigo met her friends at the front they all had their caps and gowns on and everyone looked nice. "Are you guys ready to be middle school graduates?" Shane asked them. "No im scared to go to high school." Indigo said. "You got high school in the bag, out of all of us your the most prepared academic wise and sports wise." Troy said not bring able to take his eyes off of her. "What Troys saying is that your not the best with partying and dating. You got everything eles." Cinya said with a laugh. Indigo joined in the laugh. "Hey I party." Indigo said with a laugh. "Not as much a Cinya does." Andre added. They all laughed and went to go freshen up.

   "Wow she looks beautiful." Zach said talking about Ciniya. I guess we have two people who are love struck." "She's wearing the necklace I got her but she got a new bracelet it's quite pretty." Troy said. "Yeah Levi sent it. He so sweet." Shane said. "Oh yeah Levi." Troy said. "Don't worry about that. I doubt she would date her house brothers. Plus you have France fun this. But please don't hog. She has friends." Shane said with a laugh. "I won't I promise. Guys theirs a dance tonight. I think I'm going to dance with her." Troy said. "Really, she's really come out her shell. She and Ciniya have been practicing many different dances." Andre said. "Really how do you know?" Zach cut in. "You guys do know Ciniya lives right in front of me. Zach you might be in for surprise. But we all will be in shock when we see Indigo." "But Andre we have seen her do dances like that for her dances comps and stuff." Troy said . "Well she told me that she only does that for dance. This time she want to do it, which means she's okay doing it with a guy." Andre said. Troy started getting worried. "Troy calm down what's wrong." "What if she doesn't want to dance with me and what if she wants to dance with me." Troy panicked. "Troy follow her lead." "Okay I think should head out."

They met the girls and started walking in. Indigo was in the back. Troy walked up to her. "Hey are you okay ?" "Yea just nervous about going to high school. I can't party." Indigo said worried. "I'm sure you can. Hey we will see tonight." "Oh that's right. I forgot my clothes at home and Ciniyas supposed to take me to the party.""I'm sure she has something." "I hope." "Hey you look really nice today. You should smile we're about to walk in." Indigo smiled

She and Troy walked side by side down the aisle. While the graduation music played. She looked at her parents and Shane's parents a smiled. Troy waved to his parents. Then Troys waved at her. Cinya and Zach walked down holding each other's hands. Andre and Shane were in front of them. Indigo sat inbetweem Shane and Troy. Eveyone sat down and they started the program. It was pretty long . They each got their academic awards for having a 3.5 or higher for the year. Their were awards for music, sports and community service.

"I would like to present the next awards to some special. This is the James Madison award. Only one student gets this awards. I goes to a student who has a 4.0 grade point average all 3 years of middle school. An excellent musician and an all star athlete. I would like to present this award to someone who is not only all thee of these things but a great person too. This student lead their team to states for football, made all county orchestra and has had a 4.0 gpa all 3 years. I would like to present this award to no one eles but Miss Indigo!" The principle said. Everyone clapped a cheered. Shane and Troy hugged her and she walked up to the stage. Troy was the loudest in the room. All the kids high five her and she walked up to collect the award. Her parents took pics and then she sat back down.

They concluded the graduation and everyone went to get punch and left. Indigo got to Ciniyas house . "Hey Ciniya I forget my dress at home." "YESS THATS GREAT!!! Go take a shower in my guest bedroom I have work to do!!" Ciniya said sending her in the bathroom and then going to take hers.
