Never Give Up

I told my parents about me not being able to play. They said it was unthinkable for me not to be able to play because I'm a girl. So I told them that nothing was in place yet, I made the team but they had to get it approved by the school board. They were really upset and went to talk to the coach and the school

I went to school the next and  ...

"GIRLS CANT PLAY FOOTBALL!!!!" Someone yelled . "Congrats on the team. It's sad that you can't play. We are hoping that you can play." A boy came up to her. "Thanks so much I hope that I can play as well." Shane came up to her out of the crowd people we surrounding her at this point . Shane grabbed her arm and pulled her in the janitors closet. "Are you okay their were so many people around you !!" "Yeah I'm fine , who knew that this would happen because I want to play football!" "I know right class isn't for a while you want to stay in here until the crowed dies down?" "That would be awesome." They waited for about 10 minutes and then left. People were started to realize how that she was missing so they cleared the halls. Then Shane and Indigo went to class.

Lunch was not any better.....

People were all around her screaming and yelling at her. Some girls and boys were on her side. "Why can't a girl play football, she just as good as us." Troy the wide receiver yelled. "She could get hurt!!" One of the cheerleaders yelled. "No she won't Indigo is strong!! Troy and Liz the cheer captain both yelled back at the same time. More yelling was going back and forth. The  teachers had to come and break it up. "That's fine guys she will never be on the the not as long as I am here. I'm Andre the great nothing can stop me . Coach said he want me to start the game so I'm probably the one who is in." Some people yelled and some booed . When Indigo came in their were mixed feelings in the cafeteria. Shane and her went to get lunch and then sat down with Zay and Ciniya. They started talking . "Hey guys!" A familiar voice came up behind Indigo it was Troy. Indigo chocked on her water she was so frightened by him. "Indigo are you okay ?" "Yeah just chocked on some water." "Oh okay do you mind if I sit with you guy?"

          

              Troy who and what is he

Troy Blanchard: Age 13 born January 18, a2003 . Goes to James Madison Middle School. Wide Receiver. Plays football, baseball, basketball,football and dances. Tan sunny skin short curly hair on his head. Nice smile. Sporty type and really nice. Wears lots of Nike or Addias clothes. In all of Indigos classes. Maybe about 5'8 lives next to Shane. Really smart .

Back to reality

"Sure you can sit ." He sit next to Indigo. "Hey Indigo!" His face kinda blushes. "It's so crazy that they won't let you play because your a girl , you are so good ,a lot better than Andre ." "Thanks your really good as well, I hope they'll let me play." Then the convos went as normal .

After school

Indigo walked out to the football field she was supposed to watch the practices and the games that the football team played. They coaches called her a "member"she was more an outsider. The team ran out on the field for practice and she sat on the bleachers. They started with an easy tose just back and forth to warm their mussels up before the practice. Then they worked on sprints and stretches. She could join in on that just none of the combat stuff. When they finished their jog they went back to tossing the the ball and then she went back to the bleachers. They started their position "Ready set hike!!" Andre called out he passed the ball to the Zay who runs down the field he try's to throw it too Shawn but Shane makes a intersection and takes the ball the outer way. Troy could tackle him so they they wouldn't score a point but he doesn't and Team Dab {they came up with of course Shane would 😂} wins the point. "Come on Troy it was heading right at you !!" He teammates tell him . {Team whip.} "Sorry guys!" "TROY get your head in the game." "Sorry coach." He ran back to positions and started looking at Indigo. The whole team notice and so did coach . "Um Indigo can you do us a favor and get the water cooler." He needed Troy to be focused. "Sure coach." "Look its water girl!!" Andre say with a laugh. "Mr. Booker do I need to phone your parents , we don't have that talk on our team." "No Sr!!" "Give me 20 push ups Mr.Booker and a lap around he field. He did as told. With Indigo not being their Troy was able to focus and play , with her their he was a mess.

"Hey Indigo you want to walk home or take the bus?" Zay her neighbor said walking up to her. "It's up to you , you did all the work." "Bus!!" "Okay!" They got on the bus Zay was so tired he was gulping down water and almost feel asleep. When he hit the coach at his house he was dead asleep. Indigo went to her house and started working on some homework she was brushing up on Spanish then she went to take a shower she smelled bad just from sitting outside. She wishes her parents signed her up for dance. They said they would just not now. Then she eat some food and practice her math for her test tomorrow. Then she watched some tv and her parents came home. They talked to her for a while then at 9:45 she went to bed herself.
