*Pottery cracks*

"You little basterds! How many times should I tell you to stay away from my pots. Don't play such games if you cannot play it properly." A cranky old man came shouting in balcony.
"In our times, we had discipline even when we used to play and now you....." he paused as he observed the ground.
All kids as well as teenagers were running away from the ground except for one girl, who was standing with a cricket bat on her shoulder. She turned her back to go away but Mr. Rathod called her name and she had to stop.

"MASTER JI !! Oh Master Ji!" he started calling out as he picked up the ball and came towards her.

"Uncle sorry. This time it wasn't my fault." she pleaded.

"Its always you. Its always you Vedha.
All I'm asking is to play slowly so that no one gets hurt. Its my 6th pot which broke because of your stupid game. I'm not giving you the ball back again, understood? "
no one can stop Mr. Rathod from giving an speech when he was angry.

"Areey uncle." she huffed. "It won't happen again. Can we have the ball back?" she requested.

He just eyed him and and again started calling her father. As soon as she saw the door of her balcony opening, she dropped her bat and started running from there. Mr. Rathod had already started another speech but no one was present to listen him.

"Oww" she winced as she bumped into  someone around the corner.

"Miss Vedha Rao!" the other girl said with a menacing tone.
"Again running away because of cricket?" she asked.

"Yes Miss Bumpy Bump Bump." Vedha smirked.

"My name's Ria! Ria Singh. Don't call me that." she hit her again.

"Yeah yeah yeah. Now help me get up."

"You don't eat that much if you can't control yourself." Ria taunted as she picked her friend up.

"My love for food is eternal and unending, darlinh.... Nothing and no one can keep us apart." Vedha dramatically said with her hands in the air.

"Ugh...soo much drama." Ria scoffed.
"Is that why your parents were angry at you yesterday?" she asked.

Vedha widened her eyes, " Ho-How do you know?"

"You mom told my mom and my mom told me." Ria replied.

Vedha just murmured a 'oh'.

"I know....you're not ready for the picnic. But you have to, have to come, please." Ria whined.
"This would be our last chance to go on a vacation like this. We just gave our board exams and we are totally free. You are coming and thats final."

"Okay. I'm coming and don't worry I've already started packing."

"Great! But please take something fashionable. We don't live in the 90's anymore." Ria again taunted her.

"Says the Titanic survivor." Vedha mocked back.

They both waited for Mr. Rathod to leave. After that they both said their good bye's and reached their home.

*At Vedha's home

The Rao family had finished their dinner. Everyone was back again to their chores, it was quite than usual. Ofcourse Vedha had heard a long speech by her mom because of Mr. Rathod and the morning incident. Her mom wished daily that her daughter should leave her tomboy behaviour, but that wish was always pending to be fulfiled.

Vedha hoped that her family would discuss about the 'trip' but no one spoke a word.
Until her sister Maya told her,
"Start packing....we're going to the trip tomorrow. "

"What! I don't wanna go anywhere. I just want eat and sleep whole day at my home, that's it." Vedha whined.

"Practically thinking...its useless." her sister said.

"Practically, I'm doing savings...savings of energy, money, electricity, etc."

"Don't waste your time now Vedha. Get up and start packing. We're going even if you don't pack and I think you're gonna need clothes, right?" her father sort of commanded.

This left no choice for Vedha. She entered her room and started stuffinf clothes in her bag. After thirty minutes her mom entered and started telling her rules, which Vedha and her sister had already heard before. It was frustrating for her but had to keep her mouth shut.

"Rules??? Pffht....I dont follow anyone's rules.....they are meant to be broken anyways..
I make my own rules and I listen to myself.... I dont need anyone to tell me how to take care of myself...I m a teenager now... I can handle situations myself... I am brave, smart and mature enough to understand situations and people... I just need freedom and the right time to prove these things to family and the whole world..."
She thought and self appraised herself while packing..

Her work was done and slopped on the bed. An idea sparked in her mind just before dozing off, flipping her special coin.
She had a different coin, on one side of the coin was written Good and the other side had Bad written on it.

She picked it up from the lamp table and flipped it, it showed 'Bad'. Again she flipped it, it showed Bad. Again, Bad. Again, Bad.

After flipping it for 26 times and coin showing only bad, she gave up. It was weird because it had never happened before. But her father's word rang in her ears, 'going to the trip no matter what.' And she was sure that no one was going to believe her coin theory.

To clear her mind from the frustration....she prayed,
"Please God, make this trip happy and safe for all. It should be exciting, fun, positive, beautiful, badass and something from which we can learn.
Just kidding Bhagwan Ji....bass boring lecture wali trip mat banana.
Luv u god... Forgive me god... I trust u god".
