The Lost Souls

Suspense!

Siddharth's POV

We were all surprised by this sudden change of plans. I had soo many hopes of this trip getting better and better..
But everything is getting changed in minutes...

If that bus would've worked...we would've reached the hotel and have a perfect good night's sleep....
But here we are....standing in front of a river and forest..

This time I am sure that I won't get lost in admiring nature, specially near Vedha..
I don't want another awkward scene again, like it happened in the bus 😑

"Oye" I heard Sumedh's sound...
"What?" I asked.
"Don't get lost in thoughts...you don't want to scare another girl.....right?" he smirked...
"No....not at all." I said shrugging my shoulders..
"Come on then.....we have to get our bags and tents." he said.
"Oh yeah"

Saying this we both got our bags from bus...and met few other boys....
Everyone seemed good.... After talking and knowing each other.....we made some new friends too....

The driver of the other bus came and started yelling something in a different language. Urdu??? Malayam? Chinese??? Idk...
He then whispered something to our bus driver...and they both looks were scared. Everyone started asking them what happened.. Then one uncle came in front said "I know what he's saying"

"Listen everyone,
The driver says that this place is dangerous....he is saying that we should not stay here....and....and...that something very bad happened here few years back....so he thinks that we should not stay here.....and......no one means no one goes in the forest."

Everyone's quite......no one is even questioning the driver if its true or not....the driver folded his arms in front of us and left.

Everyone is back to normal....acting as if the driver said nothing..... Sumedh nudge me and even we both got away from there.
Now we both were finding a place for our tents, I saw saw Vedha near the forest....she was coming OUT of the forest. WHAT!!!!
Ria was not with her....it means she went in the forest alone!

"Oye" Sumedh said...

I just turned my face towards him..

"I just told you....not to get lost in thoughts..... Who is she??" he asked.

"She??? What do you mean?" I was confused.

"Bhai hu tera (I am your bro)"
He said proudly
"I know what you are thinking." he said smiling.

"Shut up.... Look over there..." I pointed towards Vedha.

He widened his eyes....and says
"Doing what she's not supposed to do.... nice."

"What??? No no....lets ask her." I suggested.

"NOO...no no..... I am not talking to that girl......she talks soo rude with me....why should I talk with her??" Sumedh said in a anger tone.

"Hmph.....ok then....we have our tent work...and btw Sumu....she had a reason for being rude..ok?" I shrugged.
"Stop calling me Sumu.....Ugghh" Sumedh yelled.
And I am smiling....felt good
But......I really wanted to know where she went...... And why?? Oh god... This suspense will kill me!

Vedha's POV

I am completely in love with this place.
Especially since the driver told about the forest. This made me more curious. I've always loved adventurous and horror movies.... But I never thought I would witness such place.

And this curiosity made me do something which I was told not to do.
Oh yeah......and I am still alive it means there's nothing wrong. I love exploring such places.
But the only problem I have is-
Ria!!
I didn't tell her about this....and I am sure she will give me a big lecture.
But I found this amazing place in the forest......I can't wait to show her...

*after 15 minutes

"Ok.....soo we have our tent now..... Omg!! I'm soo excited.." Ria exclaimed.

"Hell yeah....we're gonna do the best things in our life and also.....ex..explore the beauty .....of....the....na...nature" I started saying this in a cool tone but I was back to my awkward tone.

"Haha...what are you even saying Vedha....
Wait a minute.......you......talking good things.......It means you have something evil in your brain again." she spoke alarmed.

"Um.....there's this amazing place Ria.....plz...plzzz...plzz ...you have to come with me." I pleaded.

Before she could say anything we heard noises. We came out of our tents and saw that somebody had their tent next to ours.....
And it has to be the monkeys.....
'Sumedh and Siddharth'

"Hello annoying neighbours" Sumedh waved at us.

"Hey we are not annoying......and....forget about it.... Ria lets go fast" I said

"Hey..hey....where are you taking her?" sidd asked.

"Nowher....."
"She's showing me an amazing place" Ria cut me.
Oh no no Ria........not the boys.....

"Oh wow...we would love to join you" Sumedh said.

"Um......okay....but afterwards..." I said.

"We know where you're going Vedha...
I saw you." Sidd said folding his arms.

"So...so...what?? Are you trying to scare me?" I tried to defend myself.

"No...not scare you.....but we want a deal" Sumedh said while coming closer to Ria and me.

"What deal?" I asked him.

"We will come with you.....to see this "amazing place". You will have to show us whatever it is..
Otherwise we know that somebody's parents are gonna be pissed off if they hear that their daughter went into the dangerous forest ALONE!" Sumedh spoke sarcastically.

Oh god...... He is soo annoying....
But ik that mom dad will get angry if they know about this.... And I think that Sumedh could tell them.
No matter how much I hated this deal....I had to say yes. So I did.
They both hi fived each other and were so excited.

We 4 started walking towards the forest. "Make sure nobody sees us" I said.
"Nobody's watching." Sumedh said while looking in front.
"I mean it" I said glaring at him.
"Chill.....don't get soo scared Miss.........Vedha." he said.
I rolled my eyes and started moving forward. After going a little deep inside the forest..... I ran a little...in excitement.

I stopped everyone in the path and made an announcement
"Okay guys.....now remember.....I found this place and I brought you over here. We r not supposed to b here and therefore....promise me not to tell anyone about this."
"I promise" the 3 said in unison

"Ta Da........here we are......look how good it is." I said pointing towards my right.

"Whoa!!" they said in unison.again.
