I'm guessing Blade and Sam have never heard of Spring-cleaning. While I do all the work, they sit back and relax. Sam, looking up at the sky daydreaming, and Winter cleaning his weapons. He eventually turned his suit back to that perfect white after showing it off to Sam of course. I'm still surprised Winter's suit isn't dirty. Moreover, I'm itching to see his real face. I try my best to squeeze it into every conversation possible but he shrugs it off with his smart talk.
He's definitely a social person because he is really wise in a funny way when he talks. Sam still has his suspicions about him and I try my best to make Sam believe that Blade is a really cool guy. However, his jealousy gets in the way. I'm not too sure what Sam is really jealous of. Winter's unseen good looks or his professional skills. Whatever it is it's taking over his somewhat great personality. I can never completely figure out Winter or Sam, but they're somehow nice to be around.
After they showed up I've realized how alone I've actually been. My aggressive attitude is sort of cleared and I don't get those headaches I usually get every day.
After two hundred moons, I see Blade and Sam grow bored. Nomes usually show up every other day than every other hour, and I can tell Winter is itching to kill something. Since he offers to hunt for game every single time. He also steals the glory in killing all of the Nomes. One afternoon Sam plops down in front of us while I'm making more arrows and Winter is sharpening his weapons.
He sighs. Then sighs again. After that, he sighs even louder. I try my best not to get frustrated but after about three more loud sighs, I open my mouth but Blade talks for me.
"One more sigh Samantha and I'll cut your tongue out," says Winter in frustration.
"But I'm just so bored. The days are repeating themselves just like at home. That's why I left home. Because of the lack of adventure," he states rather boringly but he's right.
"Then jump off a tree. That's excitement," says Blade.
We fall back into silence except for the sound of metal and wood. I look at Sam and he droops even lower in his homemade chair. He likes sitting down in it so now it's his property. I return to my arrow making and he sighs again. Blade throws his weapons down and pulls up Sam by his collar.
"Look Samantha your really ticking me off, so how's about you collect the water and get out of my head," he states.
"Finally. Some excitement," Sam says tiredly.
"You want excitement. I'll show you excitement."
He throws Sam into the hut and the sticks holding it up sags.
"Could ya'll do this somewhere else. I don't wanna have to rebuild it," I say with boredom in my tone. But they either can't hear me or their ignoring me.
Blade pushes Sam up against the hut and holds him by the collar.
"Are you excited now, Samantha?" Winter asks.
"Yeah. Um, you're stretching the cotton," says Sam solemnly.
"I'll stretch your face if you don't shut up," says Blade.
"Ok, I'll shut up," Sam says, his legs dangling about one foot off the ground.
"Good," says Blade, drops Sam harshly, and walks off into the forest.
"What's with him?" asks Sam brushing off his shirt.
"Your annoying Sam, that's what," I say finishing one arrow. I grab one of Blades swords and sharpen the tip of the arrow.
"Yeah, well he's losing his sarcasm," Sam says and sits back down in his chair.
"Maybe he's tired," I suggest.
