The room was cold, but the atmosphere wasn't as tense as the models had expected. Lisa was tired from a recent photoshoot for Elle Korea—her second time being featured, but this time with a page all to herself in the worldwide issue. It was a massive privilege, and before the magazine even hit shelves next month, her inbox was already bombarded with new opportunities.
The door opened, revealing a man in a formal suit. Here he goes again, Lisa thought to herself.
"Good morning, have a seat," he said, gesturing to the two models.
"Lisa, you're familiar with how this works, aren't you?" Lisa nodded. "Good. I've gathered you both today because Lisa's appearance at the opening of her clothing line was even more successful than we anticipated. It raised the bar higher than we thought possible. The merchandise sold out in just two days, which surpassed our two-week goal." He stated the facts, and the other model began to sweat, feeling the pressure.
"And as for you, Jimin, it's no secret you've been doing promotions for big companies, even as a freelancer. But that doesn't change the fact that you two will be collaborating on this new stage." Jimin's eyes widened in shock. This was a huge privilege—working with one of the Kim siblings, who had been dominating the modeling industry for three consecutive years. Jimin was more than honored; he was ecstatic.
Lisa offered him a warm smile.
"Wow, thank you. I—I'm really honored. Words can't express my gratitude," he said, bowing deeply. The CEO just grinned at him.
"This stage will, of course, feature the Nonagon clothing line. If it's successful, you'll get to release your own line and collaborate with the company for a year." This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that couldn't be turned down. It was a career-defining moment for Jimin.
"So, what do you say?" the man asked both models.
"I'm fine with it," Lisa said, cool and collected. Jimin, on the other hand, was already looking forward to working with the nation's top model.
"I'm honored to do it," Jimin said, blushing. He couldn't contain his giddiness.
Everything was settled, and they were about to move on when Jimin's phone buzzed. It was a text from Jungkook. "I'm sorry, I have to take this," he said, excusing himself and turning his back to text. But Jungkook was persistent, and Jimin knew he couldn't say no.
Jimin came back, and Lisa stood up. "We're all set. They'll call us for the next meeting," she said.
"We won't be revealing this to the media just yet. It's going to be a surprise."
