"Jungkook, wake up." Jimin's voice was a low murmur, but the younger man just groaned in response, burying his face deeper into the pillow provided by the airline.
"Jungkook, we're the only ones left on the plane."
That was the magic phrase. Jungkook's eyes shot open, and he bolted upright, eyes wide with a mix of shock and embarrassment. He was still groggy, but the sight of the empty plane and two patient flight attendants waiting by the exit was enough to get him moving.
He bowed apologetically to the flight crew. "I'm so sorry for the delay," he mumbled, his voice still thick with sleep. "We'll be leaving now."
With droopy eyes and a light head, he stumbled toward the exit. Jimin, ever the responsible one, was left to gather their meager belongings—a single small bag each. They hadn't planned to travel across the country, much less to Japan, so they were traveling light.
Once they were off the plane and through the gate, they headed straight for the exit and immediately hailed a cab. As the taxi pulled away from the curb, Jimin pulled out his phone. He had every intention of contacting Lisa, but first, he snapped a few photos of a still-dozing Jungkook, a mischievous grin on his face. This would make for some excellent blackmail later.
He dialed her number. After a few rings, a familiar voice answered.
"Hey, Lisa-ssi, what's up?" Jimin said, keeping his voice as low as possible so as not to wake Jungkook. He knew the younger man would be furious if he knew what he was doing.
"Oh, am I disturbing you?" he asked, hearing the faint shuffling on the other end. "Ah, I see. Well, we're on our way to the hotel now, and I can see it already. Can you just text me your whereabouts?"
He listened for a moment. "Yes, thank you, Lisa-ssi. You stay safe."
"Yes, will do. Yes, bye!" With that, the call ended.
He had to admit, what he'd told Jungkook before their flight to Japan was a lie. He had her number the whole time. Jungkook was definitely in for a surprise in the next couple of days, and Jimin couldn't wait to see the look on his face.
