"Hyung, I'm going back to the West in about two weeks," Jungkook explained over the phone. "I'm leaving soon."
"Are you leaving for good? Or is it because of what happened?" Jimin still felt sorry and kept blaming himself, but Jungkook continued to reassure him it wasn't his fault.
"Hyung, my departure doesn't mean anything. Summer's almost over, remember? I have to go back," Jungkook said with a small laugh.
"Yeah, right. You only come back annually, during the summer. How could I forget?" Jimin understood. But deep down, Jungkook knew that Lisa—who he assumed had forgotten him—was also a reason he wanted to leave as soon as he could. He couldn't explain why, but he felt an urge to just go.
"It's because you're getting old," Jungkook laughed loudly. He loved teasing his hyung about his age, even though Jimin wasn't old at all.
"Shut up, we're only two years apart," Jimin said, playfully smacking him. "At least I'm old enough to get this body toned," he added, flexing his muscles and showing a hint of his abs.
"I'm not up for your gay shit, hyung," Jungkook laughed.
"Say, you're leaving in two weeks. How about we go on a vacation?" Jimin suggested, and Jungkook's ears perked up.
"Sure, we could. But aren't you a busy person?" A smug smile formed on Jungkook's face.
"Well, I was given two weeks off since Lisa has a break, too." Jungkook looked confused.
"My boss gave me permission to leave until Lisa is back for our collaboration, which is after her rest period," Jimin explained. "That girl does so much every day she could be paid for breathing alone." He laughed at his own exaggeration, but it was true. Lisa was one of the busiest people he knew, second only to her brother. "She also mentioned she can barely get enough sleep since she has to comply with shooting hours and fly in and out of the country once or twice every week." Jimin sounded sympathetic.
Jungkook was worried. "Does she eat on time, though?"
Jimin mused at the question. "That's a good question. She told me she always eats on sets and orders a lot of takeout during her shoots, but the girl is a skinny legend. I'm so envious of her for eating like a pig yet her figure stays the same." Jungkook sighed in relief. He had always known Lisa was a heavy eater who didn't gain weight easily.
"I saw her when I passed by during her Moonshot photoshoot. She eats every break, and the director scolded her a lot, but she didn't care." Jimin laughed at the memory. "Oh, and she also likes to work out." He grinned, knowing Jungkook was an avid gym-goer.
"Shut up, hyung," Jungkook said with a small smile. "Anyway, Jeju for a vacation? I'd like to escape the busy city life for now."
"Not bad," Jimin shrugged. "I have a friend who lives there. Let me call him and ask if he wants to join us. When do you want to leave?"
"Tomorrow, maybe? Just ask your friend first, and we can plan what we want to do there." Jungkook watched as Jimin scrolled through his contacts and made a call.
After three rings, the line was picked up. The call was on speaker, and they could hear shuffling sounds, so the person was either just waking up or driving.
"Oh, Yoongi! Glad I could make time to call you," Jimin said.
