Chapter 16: First Love

I sat in a guest room in the palace. It was a long week and I just wanted to be by myself. T'Challa and Shuri were one of the smartest people on earth and they stopped the bomb from destroying the palace but right after Achebe left. The whole country is looking for him. Maybe certain parts of my memory was wiped but I don't want it back. I can remember a lot of things from my childhood but not the important stuff. Steve had to go back to where ever he was hiding at. Someone told me it was Scotland. Bucky went back to the small village he was staying at. I told him I would visit him soon.

Yesterday when Achebe disappeared, a lady was helping me take down the rest of the XCON. She was in green and her hair was in a small afro in the color mixed with red and black. She was fit like the Dora Milaje. The girl seemed nice.

I still remember helping her take down the men and once the place was secured, I went to meet T'Challa.

"I'm glad you're okay. I thought I lost you" He said as he brought me in for a long kiss.

"Ahem" someone coughs behind us.

I separated myself from T'Challa to find that girl from earlier. T'Challa widen his eyes in surprise.

"Nakia" He said.

"Hi" She said.

It became so awkward. She looked at us surprised for some reason. I stared at T'Challa waiting to know who she was and why she was staring at my man like he betrayed her.

"Aliyah, this is Nakia. Um... she's my ex" he introduced.

Of course she is 🙄. Well that explains it. Great, more trouble with exes.

"What are you doing here?" He asked her.

"I was done with my mission and wanted to visit you" she responds. I defensively held T'Challa's hand.

"We had a bit of trouble as you see in the palace and Golden City" he replied. It was really awkward.

"Can we talk privately at our secret place?" She asked looking at our hands that were intertwined together.

What secret place? Why don't we have a secret place? I want a secret place. I just need to calm down and not let these ex girlfriends get to me.

"What secret place?" I asked looking at T'Challa.

"Obviously its a secret and only important people know about it" Nakia replied giving me a bored look.

Bitch what? I could be way more petty than her.

"If it's for only important people then why do you know about it?" I shot back.

Before she could even respond, I turn to T'Challa: "Just go, I'll be in my room"

I rolled my eyes at Nakia and walked back to my room. I can't stand most females. There's always an issue. I could have been like any other woman and insist that I would not leave T'Challa's side as they spoke but I won't do that.

Present

That's how it was yesterday. I just stayed in my room to think about things. I still had the biggest trust issues but I had to trust T'Challa. Even though I trusted him, I had maids around the castle spying on them.

Naomi suddenly barged into my room scaring me. I gave her a look of annoyance and she started screaming. She looked shocked and happy.

"Bitch" she screamed jumping up and down.
