Aliyah's POV

After I saw T'Challa and Nakia kissing something in me broke. I was too angry to think and I felt too heartbroken. I wanted to get out of the palace and run away somewhere where I could be alone. I was followed by a group of women everywhere because I was Queen. I still can't believe it. I'm still transitioning and learning. I was appointed an Elder Women, Nana who is mainly an advisor.

I wanted to run away. That was what I was feeling the moment I saw T'Challa and Nakia.

"I don't care if the King got another woman pregnant. You are not leaving. You are a Queen. People look up to you. Whatever marriage issues that you have, it gets put it aside for the sake of the country. Divorce is not an option" Nana states furiously. She was a feisty elder lady.

"You need to get yourself together. You have to spend a whole day with him in the public eye. You have to make it look like this is a perfect marriage" Nana instructs.

I forgot I had to spend the whole day with him today.  There was a meeting with some military officials and awarding some brave individuals. Also I have to make a speech. FML.

Nana watched me as I sat on the bed thinking about the image I saw. She had a judgmental look on her face.

What I did see in the hallway was the view of Nakia and the back of T'Challa. I couldn't hear what they were saying but then all of a sudden she hugged him and pressed her lips on his. I shudder thinking about the image. He did push her off. I was too angry at that point to think.

I still couldn't help but think that maybe he had some leftover feelings for her. We were so happy and everything was alright between us but then that bitch had to ruin everything. I couldn't help but to feel insecure about myself at this current moment.

"Do you think T'Challa would ever cheat on me?" I asked Nana.

"No I don't. He's a good man and very loyal" She let out a sigh and spoke. "Now please get yourself together. I'm sending the hair and makeup stylist here in five minutes"

She got up and left. I wiped my tears with a crumpled tissue. I wanted to talk to T'Challa about what happened so it wouldn't be awkward when we meet. I didn't get a chance to go look for him because my glam squad arrived.

I arrived at the palace east conference room. Ayo, the Dora Milaje assigned to be my bodyguard walked behind me. The door was opened for me and when I entered everyone stood up and greeted me. I locked eyes with T'Challa who looked so handsome like always.

He looked shocked to see me and worried. I went to sit next to him and the meeting began. It was very informative and I spoke to give opinion. T'Challa was always looking at me for approval before he made his final decision.

The meeting took an hour and at the end I was talking to one of the officials who was from the border tribe. He was being too flirty and he talked too much. I wanted to leave the situation.

I felt an arm wrapped around my waist from behind. I turn to see T'Challa. He held me protectively as if nothing was wrong between us. It felt nice but we still needed to talk.

He shook the official's hand and escorted me out. Some officials and elders walked behind us so I couldn't speak to him privately. He intertwined his fingers with mine as we walked. He gave me a pleading look and I allowed him to hold my hand.

It was a long day filled with awkwardness and believe it or not, sexual tension. As we sat for another conference, his left hand was on my thighs under the table. He kept moving it up slowly till he reached between my legs at the spot he desired. Only the fabric of my dress separated him from his desired spot. His hand was there for the rest of the conference teasing and annoying me. We still needed to talk but I allowed him to touch me.
