3rd POV
It was two weeks later and King T'Challa and Aliyah's wedding was the talk of the country. Everyone was happy that the young king was finally married. Everything was alright in the country. T'Challa was trying his best to fix his mistakes and the heartache he gave Aliyah in the past. They were happier than ever.
Their honeymoon was in a couple of days and both were eager to get away from the palace and have some alone time together. Females were jealous of Aliyah. Some even thought they had a chance with the young King. For the most part, everyone in the palace were happy about the marriage except for one person.
Nakia. She was furious. Her mom was disappointed in her. She let her family down. T'Challa was not the love of her life. She didn't want to be Queen but her mother wanted her to have the title. She was determined to break that marriage with all her might in order to get her family's love and honor back.
Her family used to be King T'Chaka's right hand but ever since Nakia left the current King, her family's status was not of high class anymore. Their wealth had declined because of her father's gambling addiction. If anyone was going to be Queen it was her but first she needed to gain T'Challa's trust back.
It was mid afternoon and T'Challa was walking down the palace halls eager to meet his love. They had another doctor's appointment before they went on their trip. He passed palace workers or important officials on the way. They all stopped to greet him in which he quickly replied back.
"My king" he had to come to a complete halt when Nakia suddenly appeared in front of him out of nowhere.
"What do you want Nakia?" He asked. He was very annoyed at the sight of her.
"I just want to talk T'Challa" Nakia responds as she touched him. She knew what she was doing. She spotted Aliyah walking down the hall advancing their way.
"I'm not allowed to talk to you and frankly, I don't want to. Also do not touch me" T'Challa responds as he roughly moved her hand from his chest. He stepped away from her.
The hallway was deserted at this point and not a single person was spotted.
"T'Challa, I just wanted to apologize for how I was acting. I was in a very dark place in my life when I did that. That wasn't me. I blame the devil" Nakia tells him digging deep in herself to give him the saddest and sympathetic look.
T'Challa didn't believe her and thought it was bullshit. He didn't know what to believe. At this point, he doesn't want drama in his palace. He wanted to keep the peace because Nakia and his wife had to work together.
At this moment, Aliyah was walking towards T'Challa in the same hallway with Naomi. She could see T'Challa and Nakia conversing from afar. Her curiosity caused her to stop moving and to observe her husband with that witch.
Nakia could spot Aliyah as she spoke to T'Challa. Her mother's plan was working perfectly.
"Look, it's not up to me to forgive you. You need to apologize to Aliyah. My wife. I just don't want drama in my palace" T'Challa conveys his thoughts to her.
"Oh T'Challa thank you" Nakia says happily and wrapped her arms around him. Before T'Challa could do anything, Nakia pressed her lips on his. She made sure she gave Aliyah a good view. She hated breaking up a marriage but her family's status and wealth were on the line.
T'Challa pushes her away quickly hoping that no one saw but it was too late. Aliyah who stood there quietly felt her heart being ripped apart from the sight of those two. Her emotions were torn from being angry and heartbroken.
She watched as T'Challa pushed Nakia away. Naomi followed Aliyah towards them in anger.
"Aliyah that's not what it looks like" T'Challa gasp putting two and two together. He realized that he was being framed and Nakia just wanted to break them apart.
He grabbed Aliyah's hand in desperation. Everything was amazing between them.
"Get your dirty hands off me" Aliyah snarls in a threatening manner. She couldn't believe he was kissing a girl while she was pregnant.
She refused to look at him. She wanted to cry but she also wanted to slap him. She wasn't going to make a scene. She was too classy for that.
T'Challa watched her stomp off infuriated. He wanted to go after her but he decided to give her space instead.
"Please believe me. I was set up by her" T'Challa spoke to Naomi pleading that someone will believe him.
"I believe you T'Challa but I don't have a say in this. If you want Aliyah to trust you, you need to do something about her" Naomi responds as she points at Nakia.
Nakia stood there with a smirk on her face. She didn't like breaking a marriage but her family was counting on her. They were close to filling for bankruptcy and her pursuit for the King is the only way to fix it. Well that's what her mother keeps telling her.
T'Challa glares at her with anger radiating off of him. He was a good hearted man and a just king. He didn't remember her being this cruel when they were dating.
"Stay away from me. If I see you even fifty feet from me, you will be exiled from this city" T'Challa warns her. He wanted to give her harsher edict but her family were loyal to his growing up. He has never been this angry before.
He walked away from her thinking of a way to fix his now broken marriage.
Nakia's mom, Marjani who was lurking in a corner saw the terrible job her daughter has perform. She knew that she had to take matters into her own hands. Unlike her daughter, she had no limits.
She will do whatever it takes to restore the honor and wealth of her family. She will do whatever it takes to ensure that her daughter was crown Queen. She wanted her daughter to have the King wrapped around her fingers. She wanted all the power.
There's no information about Nakia's parents so I just made up the name. Thank you for reading.
