It's not every day you see your favourite band walking down the street, so when you do you want to make the most of that opportunity.
It was just a normal day, well, normal for me. I was jogging back to my flat, as per usual, after a long afternoon of teaching the children's dance class and preparing myself for my own show with my dance crew when I stopped to catch my breath. Looking out at the view I never had the time to admire was when I heard the laughter of four boys. I knew their laughs even though I had never met them before, you would too if you were a follower of theirs.
It was The Vamps.
Unlike most Vampettes, my breath didn't hitch in my throat when I saw them. I didn't show that I was dying inside just by the sight of them. If you knew what I had been through you would know how to mask and show fake emotions. I mean, let's face the facts; fangirls scare celebrities with their hyperventilating and crying. It's amazing how people can become that attached to something, even I don't understand it. They come closer and I hear them talking.
"So what are you going to do when you get home?" Brad asks Connor. I look, stare rather, at Connor. I always seemed to have a special place for him, we were alike in so many ways... well from what I know.
"I'm just gonna go to bed." he replies, the group of them coming closer to me. As quick as I can I think of something to say, something that will make them remember me. Connor is a Harry Potter fan, and I'm majorly obsessed with Harry Potter. Potterhead right here! I step in front of them and they stop in their tracks. Where has my confidence come from?
"Going to bed? Mind if I Slytherin?" I use my 'Harry Potter pickup line' and give a flirty smile to Connor. He gives me the biggest of smiles while James, Tristan and Bradley just laugh, not really understanding my reference. Connor hugs me while I just stand there paranoid that I smell awfully sweaty.
"You just made my day." he pulls away and I blush.
"I had to make you remember me." I smile shyly and look at my feet.
"I love your shirt." Connor says. I look down at my shirt which reads 'Avada Kedavra Bitch' with two wands and a pretty pattern on it.
"You're shirt isn't too bad either." I reply with a small laugh. He was wearing his Hogwarts shirt.
"Ahhh, Potterheads." James realizes.
"I'm Violet." I hold out my hand for Connor to shake. I mentally give myself a pat on the back for being so confident. "Huge fan." I hold up my other arm as Connor shakes my hand to show all my The Vamps related wristbands and bracelets.
"Well you know who we are." Tristan states the obvious and laughs.
"I'm dying internally by your presence so before I lose my cool I hope it's not too much to ask if I could get a picture with you guys?" I say hopefully. They smile at me and nod. I take individual selfies with each of the boys before thanking them and letting them continue on their way home. I look at them longingly as they walk off down the street.
And like that, they were gone.
It hadn't completely registered in my head that I had just met my favourite band till I got back to my flat and had dumped my backpack on the couch. Pulling out my hair tie and letting my naturally black hair fall down my back, I get out my phone and looked at the pictures. In each one, utter perfection stood next to me. Especially with the picture of Connor and I.
Then there was me.
I had nothing that I hate with my appearance, yet I also didn't have something that I liked. I wasn't one of those girls who obsessed with what they" looked like, not that there is anything wrong with that. But when you have so many other things to worry about, what you look like isn't the top thing on your list.
But how could a plain person like me just of met The Vamps? I wasn't a very lucky person.
Maybe that's going to change.

I'm also writing another fan fiction along with this one and it is called 'Inside The Game'. It's a Sims 3 fan fiction with a Hunger Games sort of feel to it I guess.
