“Go away!” Wally yelled, pushing Robin away from himself and speeding towards the kitchen where the rest of the team was standing.

“Help! Evil Robin’s here ta’ get me!” Wally yelled again, failing to hide the grin from crossing his face.

A smile broke out on Robin’s face as he ran towards Wally tackling him from behind.

“I’m gonna get you and infect you with my evilness!” Robin laughed, tickling Wally.

The rest of the team laughed at their child play-

“Go away!” Wally yelled. Robin’s eyes widened.

“W- what?” Robin’s voice faltered. His outreached hands slowly falling limp to his sides.

“I can’t believe you. Trying to kill M’gann and expecting us to act as if nothing happened.” With that last statement, Wally walked away towards the kitchen where the rest of the team was standing.

They all had the same expression on their faces. A mix of horror, fear, and pure hatred for the little bird.

M’gann, however, was the only one with a look of sympathy and for that, Robin was, even the smallest amount, grateful.

“I- I’m sorry..” Robin whispered, looking down at the floor. He could see his reflection looking back at him. The blood from the incident was wiped clean. That was the first thing that caught his attention when he first entered the cave earlier.

Robin had begged Batman to let him go, saying that he wanted to apologize for what he did. Batman was hesitant at first but agreed once Jason agreed to go with him.

“Please..?”

“No.”

“I have to say sorry to -”

“C’mon Bats. It’s not like they’re gonna hurt him or anything. ….”

“No.”

“What if I go with him?”

……….

“Be careful.”

“Pftt..  why would you say that?”

Jason was pissed.

“.. sorry? You think SORRY is gonna take that scene away from our minds!? Do I have to spell it out for you? M’gann. Got. Injured. Cause. Of. YOU!” Wally was shouting now, his voice echoing in the vast space of the cave.

Jason scowled. He marched up to Wally with anger radiating off him.

The sounds of his footsteps were like alarms warning everyone in the room that something should be done.

But nobody dared to move, much less breathe.

“Listen here, punk. Just who do you think you are?” Jason growled. Everything about him at that moment screamed ‘MOVE’.

Wally took a step back, stopped, and faced him with everything he had.

“No, YOU listen. YOU don’t know how badly hurt M’gann was and it’s all HIS fault!”

Jason growled.

“I think you’re missing the point. It’s YOU who doesn’t understand. Okay, so M’gann was injured pretty bad-”
