I wake up laying in a hospital bed.
"Hey Sweetheart." Mom smiles at me. She is sitting in the only chair in the hospital room.
It's very dark in here. Gray walls, one tv, a bed, moniters, IV pole, one chair, and me.
"What happened?" I ask her.
"Well, you passed out at theater practice. Jordan called me. You woke up earlier and said you passed out because your legs went numb. The doctors have given you some pain medicine. How do you feel?"
"Tired."
"How is your pain?" A nurse comes into the room and ask me.
"Pretty bad." I answer.
"Rate it on a scale of one to ten, ten being the worst."
"Eight point three."
"Well this should help." The nurse says as she gives me a shot.
When the nurse leaves, Mom says: "A boy named Carter was the one to catch you as you fell."
AWW! Carter!
"Is he your boyfriend?" Mom winks.
"No, I mean, we just met today." I explain.
"Oh okay. Well he is out in the waiting room, want me to send him in?"
"Yes please." I smile.
Carter comes in the room holding a stuffed teddy bear that says: "Get well soon!"
"Hey." He smiles at me and sits down while handing me the bear.
"Thank you, for catching me, and for this."
"You are welcome. It would be my honor to catch you when you fall."
I laugh and say: "That should be a poem."
"I am a writer. I can write you a poem." He smiles.
"Really? I am a writer to."
"Awesome! We should write together sometime! I would love to take you on a date. If you would like that."
"I would love that."
I smile at him and he smiles back.
"I will let you rest. I already have your number, Jordan gave it to me. Just text me when you want to get together." He looks excited and I am very excited to.
"Awesome!"
With that, Carter leaves the room. Leaving me with a stupid smile on my face. I am going on a date, with Carter!
"Oh my goodness! Did he just ask you out?" Jordan cheers as she enters the room.
"Yes!"
We both cheer together!
"You guys are so cute!" Jordan smiles.
"But we are not even dating yet!" I add.
"True. But trust me, you will." She winks and I laugh.

I end up stay most of the night at the hospital. The doctors think my legs went numb due to me having a kidney inflection and that messing with my fibromyalgia. The doctor gave me some strong pain pills and I got to go home.
Now I am home and I can finally get some sleep.
