Chapter 10

Today is the day! Today marks 6 months with the love of my life, Carter. He has become should an amazing part of my life. For our anniversary, I crocheted him a blanket and on the blanket it says: "I love you Carter Wade Wilson." Took me months to make, I hope he loves it as much as I love him.

"There! Your makeup is done." Jordan smiles at me. Since I have been hanging out with Carter so much, I haven't been spending time with Jordan. So today I got her to do my hair and makeup.

"I can't believe you and lover boy have already been dating 6 months!" She gasps as she curls my hair.

"I know! Do you think he will say he loves me today?" I ask her.

"What if he asks you to marry him?! Would you say yes?" She asks.

"Of course! Jay I love him!" I tell her.

"I know, I know. Just think, you could marry him! It's amazing to think about."

"Let's just see how today goes." I smile as I see my hair in the mirror.

"Your hair and makeup is complete! Go put on that red dress!" She tells me.

I run and put on the gorgeous red dress. It's v-shaped neckline that's strapless. It has a black belt and flows into a big skirt. It looks like a prom dress but it isn't. It's totally my most beautiful dress.

"You look hot Gen!" Jordan smiles as I enter the door.

I hear the doorbell ring.

"He's here!" I tell Jordan.

"Then go get the door! I hope you have a wonderful day! See you soon! Love you!" Jordan hugs me goodbye as I open the door for Carter.

"Bye Jay! Hey baby!" I smile at Carter seeing he is holding red roses and wearing a black suit with a red tie.

"Hey Gen. You look beautiful." He smiles at me.

"You look pretty handsome yourself. Let me go grab my purse and we will go."

I grab my black purse with my phone, keys, and wallet. I also grab his present.

"Bye Mom!" I call out to Mom.

"Bye Sweetie! Have fun!" She calls back.

"Ready to go." I smile at Carter as we get in his car.

After we have been driving for a while, I ask: "Where are we going?"

"You know how I had you a night under the stars?" Carter begins.

I nod my head and say: "Yeah and it was amazing!"

"Well tonight, we are going to see the stars! I have a special place set up for us by the mountain side. So we can really see the stars. Don't worry, you won't have to walk to far. I know it really hurts you. If you get to hurting really bad, PLEASE tell me. I want to help you baby." He smiles and grabs my hand.

"You truly are the best, Carter Wade Wilson."

"So are you Genesis Nicole Jones."

Once we finally get there, Carter carries me out of the car. But I do remember to grab his present. He walks a little ways till we get to a place that is directly under the star and with a bed. He lays me down on the bed.

"Let's do presents! Open mine." I hand him my present.

He opens it and smiles.

"You made this?" He asks.

"Yeah, read what it says."

He pulls it out and reads: "I love you Carter Wade Wilson."

"I love you to Genesis Nicole Jones."

I jump up and kiss him.

"Wait, here's my present."

He makes me stand up and then gets down on one knee.

"I know, we haven't been dating that long but Genesis Nicole Jones. I love you with all my heart. I couldn't imagine spending another day without you. You make me so happy. I love you so much.

Will you marry me?"

"Yes!" I jump up and kiss him.

"With all my heart! I scream at the top of the world: YES!"

He laughs and holds me in his arms.

He puts a beautiful diamond ring on my finger.

"This was my grandmother's ring. My Mom wanted you to have it." He tells me.

"It's perfect. Just like you."

It's perfect,
