Chapter 16

A few weeks later.

Today is Kara's baby shower!

Jordan, Carter, and I are getting everything set up.

"How is your pain Genny?" Jordan asks while setting up the snacks.

"Much better! This pain medicines have really helped! Now I just hurt in the morning and at night. I don't hurt constantly anymore! My pain is so much better." I smile. I am happy to say that my pain is better. Since Dr. Silver put me on those medicines it was helped so much. It's just been nice to have a doctor to care about me enough to try to help me.

"That's amazing Gen." Jordan smiles.

"Hey babe!" I call out for Carter.

"Yeah?" Carter answers.

"Do you know if Tyler is going?" I ask him.

"Actually no. Since my Mom got Kara to go to church Kara has been dating a really nice guy named Finch. He's been really good to Kara and I like him." Carter explains.

"That's so great! Kara deserves a nice church boy." I smile.

"You already got yours." Carter winks.

"Gross you guys! Get a room!" Jordon smiles.

Carter and I just laugh.

For the next couple of hours we finish getting everything ready for Kara's baby shower.

Now people are here: Mrs. Wilson, Mr. Wilson, Kara, Finch, Joy (a friend Kara made from church), my Mom, Ash, Matthew (Carter's brother), Luke (Carter's brother), and Angel (another friend Kara made from church).

Kara opens all her presents. Her and her baby got some really nice stuff.

"Let's do the gender revile!" Luke shouts.

"Okay!" Kara smiles and we all walk outside.

We have a balloon for Kara to pop with the color of blue for a boy and pink for a girl.

"Okay, you guys ready?" Kara asks.

She pops the balloon,

And,

The color,

BLUE COMES OUT!

"IT'S A BOY!" Kara shouts!

Everyone cheers.

"What's his name Kara?" I ask.

"John Luke." She smiles.

Finch comes to hug and kiss Kara. It's so nice seeing Kara having a nice boy in her life. I hope Finch really helps with the baby.

"That's going to be us one day, after we are married." Carter whispers in my ear.

I kiss him on the lips and says: "Yes babe, one day."

Now we are all just eating snacks and talking.

"How many weeks are you now Kara?" I ask Kara as we walk back inside.

"I'm thirty-six. Holy sh*t." Kara's walk just broke.

"GUYS MY WALK JUST BROKE." Kara screams in pain.

"I will carry her to the car. Who's car?" Finch picks up Kara.

"Put her in my car Finch." Mrs. Wilson yells.

Mrs. Wilson, Mr. Wilson, Kara, and Finch go to the car.

"She's about to have baby!" I smile at Carter.

After Kara leaves to go to the hospital, Carter and I go load up to go to the hospital to. We have Luke and Matthew in the back of Carter's car. I am up front with Carter.

 

Everyone else loads up so we can all see John Luke being born!

 

Once we get to the hospital, we all wait in the waiting room.

 

Kara is already in a room about to have her baby.

 

Mrs. Wilson is the room with Kara.

 

"Genny?" Mrs. Wilson calls me.

 

"Yes?" I ask while I walk up to her.

 

"Kara wants you in the room with her."

 

"Really?"

 

"Yes, Kara said you have been the best to her while she has been pregrant and you are soon to be family. Come on in." I walk in the room and hold Kara's hand.

About ten hours later, baby John Luke Wilson is born.

 

Kara's deliver went great, she is doing great.

 

John Luke is beautiful.

 

He was born 8 pounds and 8 once and 22 inches long.

 

"Want to hold him?" Kara asks me and of course I say yes.

 

"Hey baby." I hold John Luke as everyone else starts to come in the room and want to hold him.

 

Carter comes up to me and whispers in my ear: "One day, that will be us, beautiful."

 

I smile at him.

 

"Kara, he's beautiful." Carter smiles at her.

 

"Yes he is." Kara smiles back at us.

 

What a perfect ending,
