Tom wasn't needed much for the following week, he and Harrison spent most of their time in his trailer, playing Xbox and just chilling. Obviously they spent at least two hours in the gym every day, but other than that they didn't do much. On Monday they went to the cinema and watched American Assassin and IT back to back, which wasn't smart because they both fell asleep during the second movie and it was sort of a waste of money. Harrison dropped Tom back to set whilst he went out with an extra from the movie called Claire, she was sweet and Irish and that's all Tom knew about her. There wasn't much point in learning more about her because Harrison had serious commitment issues and she would probably not be around for long.
Neither of them had ever been able to hold down a serious girlfriend; he'd always blamed his job for that because he was never home for long enough to make one work. When he thought about it, he used that same excuse to justify the distance he'd found between himself and most of his old school friends. It wasn't as if he didn't try to make an effort: he and Harrison had tried to organise bringing a group of them to the premiere of Homecoming but it hadn't worked out. Maybe he could have reached out to them but equally, none of them had tried to reach him either.
