Chapter five : Try a little Thriller

Each bite felt amazing, the whole restaurant looked extremely classy, Esteban had ended up choosing a chinese restaurant called : China's Garden, yeah i know what you're thinking "cliché",but it was really delicious, it turned out that he loved chinese food , no i would say he was totally obsessed with that food but i couldn't say a word, why ? because i was more into it than he was, we ended up ordering so many different plates from soups to rolls and passing by Tofu which is a kind of cheese, it was wonderful i loved it all, and right after i paid the bill , he took two fortune cookies and gave me one of them after we got out of the restaurant , we looked at each other and opened our cookies trying to not let the other see what was written, when i saw mine, my eyes grew wide, 

'you may be afraid of the unknown but the wise says you have to let the change surround you and surrender ' 

i looked at Esteban and realised he was looking at my paper trying to read it, then i tried to pick his , and i did until he placed arms arround me trying to reach my arms , in an instant we stopped laughing, i stared at him as he did the same, when suddenly a stranger passing by yelling  " GET A ROOM", Esteban moved away immediately, then he just headed to the car and i did the same. Guessing it was better to forget about our little 'moment', i turned the radio on and started listenning to a great song from Onerepublic called Something i need, i started humming the lyrics then litterally sang along forgetting about Esteban :

in this world full of people, there's one killing me,

but if we only die once, HEY, i wanna die with youuuuu...

that was when i heard him chuckle silently and right away, it turned out to be a " laugh out loud" he had tears in eyes , clearly he was making fun of me , i frowned " why are laughing at me ? my voice is not that bad " i said feeling hurt , he stared intensely at me and put his fingers on my chin, then i turned around to see him and thought his eyes were telling me something, i didn't know what it was but i knew , it would be affecting me anyhow, the noisy silence went away when he started "you might find it strange but i'm really happy i got to meet you here with no camera" he made a quick pause then continued " so about that history thing, where should we go ? i mean if you want we can go over to my place , it won't bother me " . i didn't know how to answer, a part of me wanted to go there to discover a new part of his life but another part of me was telling me not to mainly because i was sure Caleb would be angry even if he was kind of cool, but i was still his little sister and he wouldn't allow me to go to a guy's place, so i decided to not tempt fate and invited him over, also Caleb would be back in only few hours since he works all day and we had all afternoon to study out project calmly , " i'd prefer you come at mine , my brother's kind of over protective and doesn't want me to hang out too long but he won't be home anytime soon so it would be okay i guess ", he then nodded and went straight to my house .

I opened the door and soon forgot about how messy it was , i was so embarrassed that i started blushing and hurried to clean that awful mess a little bit ...well at least i tried ...

" you can sit on the couch, i'll be right back" , he murmured something and i understood it meant okay anyway , so i went to the kitchen and took two mini botlles of coke and headed to my room in order to take all the books we might need in addition to my laptop, when i came back i put all the history books and launched my laptop when he started " we could try using powerpoint to explain to them briefly about the facts that happened then and focus mainly on videos or a movie that describes what was life like back then, you know how it gets annoying when somebody talks too much about something nobody cares about, so we should try to attract them with the movie !" I nodded in response i thought it was a good idea and anyway i was too scared of talking out loud in front of so many student's for more than five minutes , i clearly would've prefered not talking at all but i guess i had to . Working with him was awsome , we had so many fruitful ideas , and he even made jokes from time to time, man we were in such an osmosis, that it felt creepy. We finished our project around 6 PM and at that time Caleb was obviously coming back at any moment. i wasn't afraid of him seeing me with Esteban i was just scared he would do something stupid like telling him ' you better be taking good care of her ' , yeah my brother was really able to say those kind of things but that's because he was my brother ,dad and mom at the same time , he had the right to be overprotective : he had raised me , even mom hadn't cared that much about me, Esteban was about to go back home when i opened the door and saw Caleb and his fiancee Vanessa getting out of him car, when they reached me, Caleb asked Esteban who he was narrowing his eyes at him and he simply answered " i'm her classmate, she and i have some history project to do , so she thought it will be better here than in my house " Caleb nodded slightly and headed to enter the door with Vanessa on his feet , when he turned around and asked Esteban : " would you like to eat dinner with us ? i have ordered some food with my fiancee and getting to know you would be cool, since you're the first one to come here", God, noooo Caleb don't ...my brother was surely going to squeeze every single information about my relationship with Esteban, that doesn't smell good... , i turned to look at Esteban who was now smiling and accepting his invitation by shaking hands ...this has got to be the weirdest and the most thrilling day i have ever had ...
