NIALL

I aimlessly run my fingers through Harry's slightly greasy hair, while staring at the scenery flying by. The countryside stretches far and wide, the vast thick green field, is now painted over with a hue of orange and pink.

I stare at the beautiful sunset in the horizon, the sun vibrant, bathing the whole scene in a warm glow. The van cruises down the twisting road, grassy, forest green hills looming over the mountainous drive. I could get used to this for the next five days. With nothing but nature around us.

"You know," Louis starts, and I direct my gaze over to him, silently wondering if he's talking to me. But he seems to be since everyone else around me are all asleep. Liam and Zayn are both cuddled up in the back row, napping. El is up in shot gun since Louis is driving, and her head's resting on the window with her knees tucked to her chest. And Harry, well, his adorable tall, lanky body is curled up on the seat next to me, head in my lap, sleeping soundly after volunteering to drive us the first half of our journey.

Lou flickers his attention to me through the rear view mirror for a second before directing it back to the road.

"Hmm?" I hum softly in response so as to not wake anyone up.

"Harry isn't as bad as he seems to be." He comments.

"Yeah?" I smile broadly, before bringing my gaze down to Harry's sleeping form in my hold. "Are you his biggest fan now?" I tease.

He laughs softly. "I don't think anyone can beat you at that."

I grin widely. "I agree. I'm his biggest fan." I say proudly, staring fondly at him as I gently run my fingers through his hair soothingly.

No words can fully describe the way he makes me feel. Just watching him sleep, (as creepy as it sounds), looking so stress free, without the worries of his father or Ed or even his old pack, it makes him look so.. innocent, so vulnerable. And even though he's my alpha, it's as though I myself want to protect him from all the darkness of the world because of how precious he is.

"Thank you for letting him come along." I whisper, my eyes still trained on the gorgeous boy in my hold, before finally turning back to Louis lest I make myself look like a creep.

"You basically begged for us to ask him along. We didn't exactly have a choice."

I roll my eyes, deciding to ignore that comment of his.

"Not that I'm complaining... but why'd you suddenly change your perception on him?" I ask softly instead, genuinely curious because Louis almost freaked out when I first told him that I was in love with Harry. He even used to constantly warn me about Harry breaking my heart, can't blame me for asking.

He shrugs lightly. "I don't know, really." He admits. "Putting up with you is admirable, for one." He teases with a small smirk.

I bite back a smile, before trying to hit the back of his head, but I couldn't reach him because I didn't want to move in case I woke Harry up, so I settled for the back of the driver's seat.

He laughs softly, shaking his head to himself. "I'm kidding. But really, I guess... I just judged him too soon. All of us did. So, I'm sorry about that Nialler. But that being said, don't expect us to be so friendly with him so fast. He still has these cold looks and sarcastic remarks. Kinda scares me at times too." I had to fight back every fibre in me to not scoff at that.

Harry? Scary? Pfft.

"He's trying his best to get to know you guys as well, Lou. Cut him some slack." I defend Harry.
