HARRY
"Why're you're sulking, gorgeous?" I ask, smiling fondly at my boyfriend.
"It's our last night here." He pouts, sighing a little too dramatically. He lays himself onto the soft, golden sand, his tousled blonde hair masking the sand. He stretches out both arms and legs to look like a starfish, his grin growing slowly into a broad smile. "I'm gonna miss this place."
"Tell me about it." I sigh in contentment. "But to be honest, we've been here for two weeks. There's only so much we can do on a beach for two weeks." I say, leaning back on my arms stretched out behind me.
"I know." He hums. "But I just am not looking forward to the gloomy weather back in London."
I chuckle softly, not saying anything further as we silently lay there, relishing the last bit of sunlight in the horizon. I lose myself in the rhythmic percussion of the waves, the bright yellow sun changing to hues of orange, and then almost a magenta mixed with lilac purple.
Two weeks here or not, I don't think I can ever get used to looking at the sunset. Back in London, it was buildings everywhere, I've never really had the chance to appreciate the sunset.
I release a long sigh, glancing at Niall, to see him lost in thought.
I smile slightly, seeing his pale skin now slightly red and tan, his blonde hair tousled, matching the colour of the sand perfectly. His blue eyes, a deep contrast from the fire-red, orange hue that the earth is currently painted in. It's almost as if his eyes are glowing, luminous.
"What're you thinking about, love?" I ask softly. He meets my gaze, a soft smile on his lips, and somehow, my heart just felt like it melted into a pool of mush.
He pushes himself up into a sitting position, dusting off the sand from his clothes.
"Just... stuff." He says with a toothy grin.
I breathe out a short laugh, shrugging.
The mauve of the dusky sky intensified, and in just a while, the biggest star sets, soon giving way to a thousand others.
"Come on. We've got dinner reservations." I tell him, standing up from the sand, dusting my shorts.
"We do?" He asks in confusion, his blue eyes lighting up in excitement.
"Mhmm." I offer a hand to him. "It's our last night here, might as well spend it to the fullest." I say, pulling him up.
He grins widely, surprising me by pressing his soft lips to mine. "Let's go then, I'm starving."
I intertwine our fingers, before I'm leading him over to a small restaurant that sits in a pool. Yes, a pool. Well, not like a full blown Olympic pool. The water just comes up your ankles. So okay, maybe it doesn't qualify as a pool, who cares?
