Harry's just staring at Niall's smile and it's so freakin adorableHARRY
It's a cold, brisk Saturday morning. We're all seated on the benches in the stadium, just finished with our stretches. The chatter of the crowd is increasing, fuelling up the excitement running through my veins.
Niall's jumping about in his seat, his fingers clenching and unclenching, constantly tightening the laces on his shoes and biting his nails- a nervous habit of his. As hot and beautiful as he looks with his skin tight red and black jersey and matching running shorts that clings perfectly to his milky thighs, I can literally smell the nervousness off of him.
"Baby." I murmur, in his ear, I place a hand on his bouncing knee, giving it a firm, but reassuring squeeze. "Stop fretting, princess. You'll do very well." I reassure.
He releases a shaky exhale, running a hand through his hair for the 67th time this morning.
"I just don't want to disappoint, you know?" He mumbles, biting the inside of his cheek.
"You won't, love. All of us know how hard you've worked. You'll do amazing. Even if you don't— which you will, it doesn't matter. Because you've tried your hardest." I say, taking his hand in mine, leaning my forehead on his.
He pecks my lips gently. "I'm still worried sick, but thanks for trying." He mutters.
I breathe out a short laugh, giving him another peck, a longer one this time. "Well, if it makes you feel any better, just remember we've got a flight to Maldives in two nights. And, I've got something special planned for us tomorrow." I wink, tapping his nose playfully.
His cerulean blue eyes light up with excitement, and he's grinning brightly, all sorts of nerves seem to vanish from his being.
"What are you planning?" He asks excitedly.
"Not much of a surprise if I told you, huh?" I tap his nose playfully. Honestly, I don't really have anything planned for him tomorrow, I only said that to make him happy. But it shouldn't be hard coming up with a fun date right?
"Alright, fine don't tell me. Either way, I can't wait!" He beams, before pressing his mouth to mine, the both of us smiling widely into the kiss.
"All 100 meters runners, stand by. You are on in five minutes. Five minutes." A rather monotonous voice announces throughout the stadium, breaking our kiss.
And just like that, all the nerves hit him hard again.
"Look at me, baby." I murmur, framing his face in my hands, staring in his blue eyes which are swimming with worry.
"You are a spectacular being, Niall Horan, and you are gonna do amazing, princess." I say truthfully.
His eyes soften slightly before a small smile tugs at his lips.
"I love you." He whispers, before kissing me gently once more. I smile into the kiss, giving his waist a little squeeze in encouragement, before pulling back.
"I love you too. Now, go out and kick arse, my favourite champ." I smile, patting his bum playfully.
He smiles weakly and nods, takes a deep breath before finally untangling himself from me.
"Ni!" A familiar voice calls. The both of us turn, to see all of Niall's friends— Leah, Louis, Eleanor, Zayn and Liam, all lined up at the bleachers with large sign boards in their hands.
Niall's eyes light up, before he's waving enthusiastically at them with a beaming smile. My heart melts a little at the sight.
My eyes scan the crowd, taking in some familiar faces. There's of course, Niall's friends, then there's his parents just sitting a few rows above them, with equally as proud smiles on their faces. Then I spot my mum and Gemma. Gem managed to extend her stay here in London for awhile just to see me run, which I'm incredibly grateful for.
