"So, what now?" I ask, staring up at my handsome boyfriend, our camp bags clutched in our hands, standing by the gates of our university.
"We can go back to my room?" He suggests.
"I already was planning to, babe." I state with a soft laugh. "What I meant was... what now? With your father and all?" I ask softly.
He sighs. "I don't know, really. I'll need to talk to my mum." He says.
I nod in understanding. "We can go put our things down into your room first before seeing her?" I suggest.
"Sure." He murmurs, but his green eyes are distant, the cogs turning in his head.
I leave him be for now, because I know he needs the time to gather his thoughts about everything before going over to talk to his mother.
We make our way silently towards his dorm room.
"Is it bad?" He suddenly asks.
I raise a brow at him in confusion, cocking my head to the side slightly.
"What is?"
"My room. It was thrashed by Jed wasn't it?" He asks, his tone flat but there's a hint of sadness behind it.
"Oh.." I mutter, nodding sadly. "Yeah, he did." I murmur. "I've already cleaned up the most part. But the furniture in there are still broken."
He smiles softly. "Thank you."
He pushes open his door, the lock of it completely broken off.
We step into his room, with me staying silent while I let him... take in the damage.
Like I said, I've already helped clean up his room, his items from his drawers and cupboards are all placed back neatly to where they belong. The only thing out of place is the broken cupboard door and the broken bed with the mattress ripped.
He releases a deep sigh, dropping his bags down onto the floor, closing the door behind him before he's looking around the room.
"Well, at least he didn't burn it down." He says, releasing a false laugh.
I frown slightly, before going to stand before him, reaching up to frame his face between my hands. He releases a shaky sigh, diverting his eyes from around the room, to look back at me, leaning his cheek into my touch.
"I'm sorry this had to happen, babe." I whisper. "I'm sorry for my father's actions. I'm sorry he's-"
He shakes his head. "You don't have to be sorry, baby. Don't apologise for him." He mutters, cutting me off. "None of this is your fault."
I heave a long sigh. "You know, if you want, we can stay in mine and Lou's room for the time being?" I offer. "No one really has to know you're staying there."
"That's extra costs for both of us, baby. I can't do that to you." He says. "Nor can I really afford it if I'm being honest." He mumbles.
I nod, not exactly knowing what else to say. "We'll figure it out later." I decide to say, before slowly leading him further into the room, standing by his broken bed.
He slowly takes a seat on it, before pulling me onto his lap, his lips immediately latching onto my mine, causing my cheeks to heat up and for my body to erupt with tingles and butterflies.
