"Liam's on the TV Rubes" Cheryl told her daughter as she poked her head around the kitchen door where Ruby was colouring in on the table.
"Yay!" Ruby squealed as she threw her colouring pencils onto the table before running off to the lounge to join Cheryl in watching Liam perform on BBC's 'Sounds Like Friday Night'.
"Is he just singing Mammy?" Ruby asks Cheryl as she cuddles into her mam's side on the sofa, Amelia sleeping peacefully in her moses basket next to the sofa.
"I don't know sweetheart, this show is pretty new, I don't think I've watched it before" Cheryl smiled down at her, gently stroking her daughter's stray hair out of her face.
"Maybe he will be funny like you are on the TV" She replied innocently, she loved to watch her mother in interviews or when she was doing funny skits on various TV shows.
"Aye, what's your favourite show I've been on then?" Cheryl asked her.
"Hmm" Ruby replied, tapping her chin with her index finger like she was thinking, "that show with the two boys that have the same accent as us! Where you told the man to close the door moron"
"Aw yeah, Ant and Dec, that was funny wasn't it" Cheryl laughed at her daughter, it being funny to think what was the most memorable moment for Ruby in terms of Cheryl's interviews.
"And when the funny men made you run around the kitchen, me and daddy were laughing our heads off" Ruby giggled along with her mother.
"Aw that was very funny wasn't it" Cheryl smiled down at her.
"Where is daddy?" Ruby innocently asked after a while.
"Erm, he's gone away for a while sweets" Cheryl gulped, knowing that this conversation was going to rear its ugly head at some point.
"Where?" She asked, her curiosity and questioning not being uncommon for a child her age.
"France babe, look Liam's on" Cheryl smiled down at her daughter, thanking god that Ruby's attention was diverted by the TV.
The show opened with a performance by Liam with one of his hit singles, the intimate crowd singing along with him making him feel on top of the world knowing that his songs were so well received. As the show carried on, there were a few other performers and funny skits and interviews with Liam.
"Look mammy, Liam's dressed as a delivery man" Ruby giggled as Liam appeared on the screen in a red jumper, blonde wig, red cap and fake moustache to resemble a delivery man for one of the show's skits.
As Liam rode in an elevator with Greg James, both dressed up, his goal was to get as many people as he could to sing along to his songs.
"Baby you light up my world like nobody else" Liam began to sing getting blank expressions from the two people in the lift, making both Cheryl and Ruby giggle.
