Cheryl & Liam - I've Tried Everything

Chapter 11

"I've let him control me for too long" Cheryl said under her breath as she paced her bedroom, being seriously pissed off with JB for telling her she would get fatter.

She had realised this wasn't the first time he had tried to control her. A lot of the times she was completely oblivious to his behaviour and went along with what he said because she loved him.

"How can you love someone that wants to change everything about yourself?" She murmured to herself again.

The body image comments had been going on for as long as she could remember, JB constantly commenting on her appearance and how if she worked a little harder she would look better. He didn't like her job, he hated the fact that she wasn't with him 24/7, ever since Ruby was born he had accompanied her to most of her work commitments. He was at nearly every X Factor show and would follow her like a lost puppy and become increasingly angry if she spoke to anyone for longer than necessary. He had accused her of sleeping with everyone she met even though she was with him most of the time and so finding the time to sleep with someone else was near enough impossible, not that she would want to anyway.

Cheryl even had a feeling that her friends and family didn't like her husband, always being polite to his face and making conversation with him. But with Ashley it was different, everyone had a laugh with Ashley and her friends and family would always comment on how suited they were and what a lovely man he was. Obviously after the cheating allegations everyone's opinions changed and he was never spoke about again. 

The fact that Cheryl could name a long list of reasons as to why her and JB couldn't work out it made her realise that maybe she was holding onto something just for the sake of her children. She loved her children to pieces but could she let such a horrible man be around them 24/7? What if he started being horrible to them like he was with her? She could never live with herself if that happened, the happiness and safety of her children being her number one priority.

"JB, we need to talk" Cheryl announced after putting Amelia down for a nap and Ruby was currently watching a movie in the lounge.

"What about?" JB asked.

"Us" She swallowed, it making her nervous as she didn't know what his reaction was going to be.

"Okay" He simply replied and sat on the corner of the sofa in the snug, Cheryl hesitantly perching herself on the edge of the sofa.

"I don't know how much longer we can fake that we're happy together" Cheryl quietly said, praying that he would agree with her and it would be simple.

"Okay" He simply replied, his cunning tactics once again coming out.

"I think we should take a break" Cheryl replied, not really knowing what else to say.

"Why?" JB simply replied again.

"Because-"

"You're sleeping with someone else? I KNEW IT" JB shot up from his seat whilst shouting down at her.

"No-" Cheryl began to speak before she was interrupted again.

"BULLSHIT! I KNEW YOU WERE SLEEPING WITH SOMEONE ELSE!" JB screamed at her, honestly believing that she had been unfaithful.

"WHY WOULD I EVER CHEAT WHEN I KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE WHEN IT'S HAPPENED TO ME?" Cheryl jumped up as well, it pushing her to breaking point when he accused her of sleeping with someone else.

"BECAUSE YOU'VE NEVER LOVED ME" JB screamed.

"YOU KNOW THAT'S CRAP! WHY HAVE I STAYED WITH YOU SO LONG IF I DIDN'T LOVE YOU? IT'S YOU THAT DOESN'T LOVE ME! WHY ELSE WOULDN'T YOU TRUST ME?" Cheryl screamed back at him, knowing that this was going to be the last straw for her to leave him.
