As Liam woke up he instantly remembered the conversation he had with Cheryl over text and smiled to himself, rolling over to check whether she had messaged him again but immediately feeling disappointed when there were only a few emails and a text from his mother. He reminded himself that it was stupid to get his hopes up that she would text him again as he knew the situation at home wasn't the best with JB being extremely controlling. He had found it hard to bite his tongue and tell Cheryl to just leave JB but he knew that if he did he would lose all the trust he had gained and completely ruin the friendship that they had. Liam hated JB with a passion but always told himself that if Cheryl was happy then he was too, he couldn't take that away from her even if she was blinded by the love she had for JB to see that he was a very nasty and manipulative man. Liam couldn't help but get caught up in his thoughts and lay in bed for a further hour thinking back to the times he would spend with Cheryl and Ruby.

"LIAM'S HERE" Liam heard a little voice shout from the hallway, it being a few days before Ruby's third birthday and Liam was coming over to give her her birthday present along with taking her out with Cheryl, Nicola, Kimberley, Justin and Bobby as JB was in France for business. Liam couldn't help but chuckle as he heard Cheryl laugh on the other side of the door as he could see Ruby trying to jump up at the door handle. Like a dog would when their owner comes home.

"Hi Roo" Liam exclaimed as Cheryl eventually opened the door and Ruby ran straight into his arms and he picked her up spinning her around. He loved this little girl so much.

"Liam where are we going today? Mammy won't tell me" Ruby asked when Liam stopped spinning her around and placing hundreds of kisses on her cheeks making her giggle.

"Now that would be ruining the surprise wouldn't it missy" Liam laughed as Ruby moodily pouted back at him. Something she had clearly inherited from her mother.

"Not fair" She moaned as Liam put her back down on the floor to greet Cheryl with a hug and a kiss on the cheek, watching as Ruby ran down the hallway back to playing with her dolls in the lounge.

"Has she been this hyper all morning?" Liam chuckled as they made their way into the kitchen to have a cup of tea.

"Ever since I told her you were coming yeah" Cheryl laughed as she flicked on the kettle to boil the water. She couldn't help but notice how handsome Liam looked with freshly cut hair, a camel coloured bomber jacket over a dark grey t shirt, black jeans and timberland boots.

"Not gonna lie, I think I'm just as excited as she is" Liam laughed as it had been his idea for the group to take their kids to a bounce arena not far from Cheryl's house, just one present from Liam for Ruby's birthday. The other sitting in his car, waiting till they had gotten back from the trampoline park to give to Ruby.

"I'm actually quite excited too yano, I didn't expect you to book the whole place out though" Cheryl tutted as she made their teas, already knowing exactly how Liam likes his.

"We wouldn't have half as much fun if there were other kids there" Liam said as he thanked her for the tea she handed him.

"True, but it must have cost you a fortune" Cheryl said whilst taking a seat next to him on a bar stool at her kitchen island.

"Have you forgotten that I'm a member of One Direction" Liam cheekily said as he pulled a smug face making Cheryl giggle slightly.
