What the Spell

Chapter Two: First Day... Yay.

“Get up lazy ass, it’s the first day!” shouted Phoebe as she sat on me, bouncing.

“Get the fuck off me!” I shouted, rolling over so that I could breathe. She just laughed her ass off while I rolled my eyes.

“Anyone else scared out of their mind?” Erin asked as she got dressed. She’d decided to wear her favorite short jeans with a blue and black leopard print shirt; the colors did wonders for her skin.

“Yeah,” muttered Scarlett. She was wearing black shorts with a peachy pink shirt, an unusual color for her, which has a picture of the beach and a white triangle in the center of it. I was definitely getting a Tumblr vibe from her.

“What if I see Ash again? What the hell am I going to do?” I demanded, struggling to fit my butt in my tight, white shorts. I then threw on a black and white shirt with a white anchor on the side.

“Punch him again,” teased Phoebe. She was wearing her worn jean shorts, ones she had had for years now, and a bright blue shirt with patterns at the top. She then tied her wild curls up, even though I had told her more times than I could count to leave it down.

“It’s not funny!” I hissed.

“It kind of is,” Scarlett muttered.

“You completely flipped,” Erin giggled, earning a punch on the arm from me.

“You want to get punched, too?” I threatened, and they all quickly shut up. I just laughed at them as I started to examine my schedule:

BLOCK 1: Candle Making: Young witches will learn in this class how to create and charm candles to give them certain properties.

BLOCK 2: Amulets: Witches will learn in this class how to create amulets using certain stones, and memorize the properties of certain stones/metals.

BLOCK 3: Potions and Spells: Students will learn how to control their magic by creating potions and memorizing spells.

BLOCK 4: Teacher Witching 101: Witches will learn the proper techniques required to teach other witches in a possible future job.

BLOCK 5: Scouting: Students will learn the materials to look for if they were to choose the profession of Scouting, and where to find certain items.

BLOCK 6: Council Preparation: At the end of the year, the Council selects one student who shows exceptional strength in most/all of their classes, as well as has strong magic. Here, you will learn what witches do on the Council.

BLOCK 7: Laws: Witches will learn the laws and codes of becoming a Witch, and the responsibilities and codes that go along with each job.

I frowned at the paper. My mother had never mentioned anything about the Council, whatever that was. Maybe they would explain it during sixth period, and if not, I could always ask one of my friends.
