The next day, I woke up at six o'clock.  I feel an arm around my waist and turn around to see Jax laying on the side of me.  I don't even remember what time we went to bed, but I know it was late.  Max asked us so much more than I had anticipated.

I climb out of bed and walk into the bathroom.  I brush my teeth and got dressed.  I went downstairs to make breakfast, that's when I heard it.  Noise coming from downstairs, I grabbed a metal water bottle that was on the table and opened the door and walked down slowly.  When I got to the bottom of the stairs I realized it was Max.  He was training, by himself.

"How?  Who?  When?"  My mind couldn't even register how he was doing combinations without a mentor.  It took me years to precise it.

"I used to come down here and video tape you train and then late at night when you were sleeping I would come down here and practice the same moves.  You know I wanted to be just like you?  To do all those cool things that you did, and you still do."  He responds while walking towards me.  He takes the bottle from my hand.  "Thanks for bringing this down for me I was wondering where I put it."

"Your welcome." I smile at him.  I'm so proud of what he could accomplish once he put his mind to it.  I wish he would do that with school too.  But I'd rather his focus be on this, it is way more important that I make sure that he doesn't get killed.

"You know what I always wanted to do though?  And I was never able to do it but now that you will be training with me I want you to teach me."

"What is it?"

"That back kick that you did when you saved me from that guy.  The way you kicked his hand just right that made the gun go into the air.  That was awesome!"

"Oh my, that took me... I don't know, all of my entire life to perfect.  You must have extreme focus, enough power and perfect aim because if you fail at even one of those things then that's it.  It's over.  I practiced during any free time that I had."

"I want to be just as good as you."

"Alright, I guess we'll just have to get to work then."

I went upstairs to change into some workout clothes.  As I walk upstairs into my room I see Jax standing at my window looking out.

"Hey you, what's up?"  He didn't turn around or say anything.  He just kept staring out the window.  My heart picked up its pace as I started walking towards him, worried.  I reached for his arm and he pulled away quickly without saying a word and crossing his arms.

"Jax, what's going on.  Talk to me."

"I need to go." He turned around in a hurry trying to find his jacket.

"What?  Why?" I tried to reach for him, but he shoved my arm away so hard that my arm swung and I hit my wrist on the corner of my desk.  "Ow, what the fuck Jax."

"I'm sorry, I just, I need to leave.  I'm sorry."  He grabbed his jacket without even looking at me.

And with that, he was out the door and I heard the front door slam just a few seconds later. What the hell just happened?  I was literally gone for like 10 minutes.  I stood there holding my throbbing wrist.  Did something happen with the gang?

As I think more about Jax I realize that I don't know that much about him.  I don't know if he has any family or if he has a job.  As far as I know he lives alone so how does he pay the bills?

I look over at my night stand and see Jax's phone.  I walk to it and pick it up, the screen lights up and I see a picture of me.  I smile slightly at this.  Wait, does it have a password?  Maybe someone called or texted him and that's what made him upset.

I set the phone down on the desk and sit on my bed.  I look at the phone and look at my closet and at the clothes I came up here to put on.  Before I could change my mind, I rushed to put my workout clothes on and I went downstairs to get some ice while I help Max train, trying to forgetting about the phone.
