"Truth or Dare?" (Jared x reader)

Request was for a truth or dare related fic about Jared and a fem reader, sincerely sorry.

Warnings: swearing and just Jared in general.

(Jared's POV)

"Damn. That's a pretty thicc booty if I do say so myself."
I can see the e/c eyed girl blush at the comment, I recoil and laugh it off. "I mean it's not that nice or cute or really impressive, I've honestly seen way better". Zoe and Connor both scoff at my remark and Connor follows up my sarcasm with his opinion, that nobody ever asked for, "Oh yeah? Can you name at least one that wasn't from a video on Pornhub?". I glared at him while Evan laughed quietly and Zoe and Alana snort and giggle to themselves. "As a matter of fact I have! I mean you've got a pretty hot ass, Connor" I say this with a suggestive wink directed towards him.

Connor cringes at this, recoiling in fake disgust as we both laugh. I snort and laugh obnoxiously and then cover my mouth because of the various other types of laughter that threatened to leave me. Y/n rolled her eyes and found this humorous as well.

(Timeskip to after school)

"Jared, we're all going to my place, do you want to come with?"
I scoffed at the e/c colored girl, "pfft yeah I guess I'll come, it's not like I have other plans", secretly I felt excitement and joy but there was an infinitesimal chance of me actually saying that. She rolled her e/c orbs at me, 'fuck, she drives me absolutely crazy' "I bet your eyes roll to the back of your head when you get fucked like an animal too"

As soon as the comment left my lips, my skin was grazed with the palm of her s/c hand while everything, from her neck up, was a burning pink hue. "Jared, you wouldn't even know what that looks like!" with that she leaves me confused, angry and frustrated. I let out a huff that reflected my feelings and began walking to Y/n's house because the invitation must still be open, right?

(Reader's POV)

"He was just acting like a complete ass, Alana!" "Well I suppose you should give him the benefit of the doubt, after all, this might be the only way he knows how to express the feelings that he reciprocates towards you", then Zoe spoke "He doesn't even want to admit to himself that he likes you, he's the king of procrastination, Jared always likes putting off his feelings and says he'll get to it another day"

I giggle and shake my head vigorously, "there's no way that he'd be into me! C'mon, I've seen the way he flirts with you, Zoe!" "Yeah me and like every other person with long hair we know, he literally said Connor had a "hot ass", Connor doesn't even have an ass!" "And! I if I may add to the argument against not liking you, Jared only acts like a tsundere around you" "I see, well thank you Alana, I'm not even too sure what a tsundere is but I'll take it"

(Jared's POV)
Laughter fills the room as Evan takes his place on the floor after completing his dare to make someone of his choice, which was Zoe, as uncomfortable as possible. "Alright, alright! I don't want to admit it but that was a-act-tually pretty f-funny! Again I-I am s-so so-sorry Zoe", Zoe nods at him acknowledging the heartfelt apology.

Now seeing as I was the next person in the circle I gulped, unsure of what Evan would dare me to do or ask if I chose truth, I clicked my tongue and rolled my eyes dramatically as I saw Evan deciding his options. "Jared, truth or dare?" "Truth, I don't want you to dare me to do some gay kinky shit" "U-um okay? D-do you l-like y/n?" "I find her existence tolerable, yeah" "N-no I-I mean i-in a r-rom-mantic way"

My ears and face suddenly feel like I was burning up feverishly, the question made me shift uncomfortably. 'Of course I like her but I'd never tell anyone that, she's probably all red because she's embarrassed of even thinking about me liking someone as unique and amazing as her' "Hell no! I'd rather date Zoe or Connor wayyyy before dating y/n! She's a good meme searching buddy and all but she's not really my type." I say laughing nervously.

Y/n sniffles and covers her mouth to choke back a sob that was just dying to come out like the tears that flowed out her perfect e/c eyes. "I-I h-have to g-go!" She says while bursting through the back door and into the yard. I sigh and hold my head in my hands, 'how couldn't I be so stupid? You love her and you hurt her to protect yourself from getting hurt, you really are-' "You really are a major dick, Jared!!" Connor screams at me while shaking me violently, my heart beat was thumping out my chest and into my throat, so hard like a hammer against cloth. "Don't you think I already fucking know that?!?!! For fucks sake Connor, you're acting like I hurt her feelings because she's in love me or some shit like that!!!" "She is in love with you, you absolute fuck!!!"

I gasp and hold in my breath, I couldn't come to terms with what I was hearing, I couldn't register it, 'she loves me?' "Did I just majorly fuck this up?" "Yeah you did Jared, you better hope that you can still go fix it, you dick" I sigh and push Connor away, I get up and go outside to fix the spectacle that I created.

I see y/n there on the tall grass, sitting with her knees to her chest, still sniffling and sobbing. "Y/n, I'm so sorry. I'm sorry for hurting you and making you believe in something that wasn't even close to true. I know that this whole scene and situation is really cliche and sound like it's coming from a bad fanfic but if you want to hear the truth let me see you face to face."

She rises up from the grass and faces me, her soft features and gentle heart wait expectantly. I take her hands and interlock them with mine, I wished that we could stay like this for forever but I had to tell her. I needed to tell her how I felt and to know if she felt the same.

'Alright, you know what?—'

(Reader's POV)
'Fuck it'
I leaned in and Jared did too, he kept his right hand intertwined with mine while he reached up and pulled me closer to him. I blush and smile into the kiss, 'He likes me!!'

Jared then holds my face with both hands and brings me closer to him, he was so close that I could hear his heart beating loudly like a drum's kick would. Our lips meshed together like waves do while they crashed against the shore. Jared and I separated, huffing loudly, gasping for air as if we had been deprived of it for centuries. We both laughed and gave each other one last sweet kiss before heading inside hand in hand.
