Chapter XIX final preparations
"Ragnarok where have you been?" a voice asked once Ragnarok walked into a room where a group of people where working on some strange object that was on a table.
"I was busy losing to the one I was planning on keeping contained for a little longer so we could finish preparations but it seems we will need to hurry it up. That is where I was Zerimil." Ragnarok replied.
"Are you sure this is the right thing to do? Zerimil asked his jacket flying behind them showing a white shirt behind it as they walked to the table." His black shoes hitting the ground silently almost as if he were flying but his blue pants staying still said overwise. His vibrant blue eyes and black hair almost seemed to be like a calm before the storm but his dark skin said overwise.
"I am certain, Diremil has backed me up on it."
"More like forced Diremil." commented from somewhere in the room before she landed near them as they were just about to reach the table, her black dress with its odd hint of red fluttered down her arms resting at her sides. How she could move her arms with the blood red bands around her arms always puzzled Ragnarok but with her blood red eyes and short black hair which had a flower in it always made him leary of her especially with how she embedded her role as the goddess of Death, unlike Zerimil god of the sky.
"What is even the point of this, all this preparation and for what? The imprisoning of some normal humans?" Another voice asked as the group backed away from the table taking their seats at their respective chairs each custom to their liking.
"Callis, one of them is far from human. The others are just a contingency." Ragnarok answered.
"How so?" Callis asked puzzled still after all the forced work they had been put through. His robe flowing down his chair and his dark skin face a hard expression hardened by his bald head and white eyes which were enhanced by his dark colored skin giving him the look of an elder.
"They are able to become a god and overrule us all, do you wish for that to be forced to possibly work harder than you already have but all the time?" Ragnarok asked.
"Of course not." Callis replied knowing he was once again losing the debate as he had many other times.
"We are back!" A voice yelled cheerfully it sounded young and feminine.
"You don't always have to do that you know." Another voice older and more masculine than the other one.
"But it's fun to do it Arkem."
"Karis you may seem younger than me but that doesn't allow you to act like it." Arkem replied to her comment.
"Oh fine" Karis replied her voice becoming more adult like.
Once they arrived in the room it was obvious the difference in not only height but appearance. Karis was wearing a shirt with a sun on it with blue pants and orange shoes her face was slightly tan making her seem like a miniature sun along with her orange eyes and blonde hair. Arkem was the complete opposite a shirt with a moon that was currently in the crescent moon shape had gray sweatpants and white socks on but no shoes. His pale features gray hair and silver eyes would almost certainly darken the lighting of the room if Karis wasn't there. They then sat by each other going quiet once they had reached their seats.
"I get that I do not need to be out and about but why do they get to skip out on some of these things when they are at times extremely important?" a voice asked its business like tone almost seemed of in the gathering. Along with his red suit, white shirt and black shoes and tie. His black hair and his violet eyes also making him seem off from the group.
"Razril you fully understand that they bring up and down the sun and moon while you only are there during weddings or even during certain dates but now days that is not exactly needed." Ragnarok replied
"I know that I was only making the point about it. Some of us don't have to leave this area such as Carris and Herail." Razril commented.
"Wisdom is everywhere! Of course I don't have to leave but I still do because it's knowledge I always crave!" Herail yelled standing up causing her lab coat to flare up and her glasses to jump up from her nose. She seemed to be also somewhat off from the group even though she was wearing blue pants and black tennis shoes along with a white under shirt.
"Why do you wear those ridiculous glasses they aren't even needed." Razril commented.
"Why do you wear a suit in tie?" Herail asked back averting the question.
"Because I feel like it suits my role." Razril answered
"And that is precisely why I wear these glasses." Herail responded proudly.
"That's a lame reason!" Razril yelled.
"Well so is yours!" Herail shouted back.
"Could you both shut up!" A final voice yelled thunder almost seemed to be heard from it.
"Karin chill out." Razril commented.
"I will not chill out especially to the likes of you!" Karin yelled. She was standing up her dress was covered in large waves and stormy clouds that seemed to move, sometimes a water spout could be seen forming and disappearing. He hair was also streaked white and her eyes had a stormy white. And her skin had gone black.
"Karin your shouting." Herail said.
"I know just was getting tired of both of you fighting. Especially over clothing opinions!" Karin yelled again. But she had sat down and had started calming down. Her dress changing to calmer clouds and waves and her skin going to a slight tanned white along with her hair going back to a light brown slowly along with her eyes going a vibrant blue.
"Are we all done?" Ragnarok asked.
"Yes we are, sorry about that." Karin replied.
"Thank you now time to explain what this orb actually does." Ragnarok explained pointing to an object that seemed to rip a hole out of reality itself. "I am calling this the void gate."
"And why is that?" Callis asked finally perking up again.
"It leads to the void a place that has until now been out of everyone expect for....."
"Except for what?"
"Expect for now we will be able to go there ourselves but it is a dangerous thing." Ragnarok answered seeming to be trying to cover himself.
"I see, so how does it work?" Herail asked her curiosity craving for knowledge.
"Shouldn't you all Know how, you were the ones who made it." Ragnarok answered grinning. But i'll explain it anyways.
Are you sure because i'm pretty sure you made it. Herail said.
"Must have been my mistake." Ragnarok said a grin spreading on his face. This proves that it actually worked and it wasn't a fluke but if it wasn't I have bigger problems now on my hands. "Alright then let's see how this works."
