Y/N's POV:

"Oh my god y/n no I don't want to do it" Ariana cried out in fright as she had a tight grasp on my hand

"Just jump i got you I promise" I said with a laugh

"You better catch me" she said

"Jump into my arms" i said

We were hiking up a trail by my house. We got bored and just decided to walk it. It was before sundown

The trail was somehow wet and full of mud and Ariana really didn't want to get her white new shoes dirty. So I found an alternative jumping a gap but now it was her turn

"One two-" I counted out

She was about to jump but she cowered out and I laughed

"Ari I got you trust me" I said

"What if I die or hurt my leg" she said

"You won't die, and if you break a leg I'll pay your hospital bill" I said

"Not funny" she said glaring at me

"Oh my god" I said in a panic

"What?!" She asked scared

"I saw a coyote over there" I said scared and frightened

"No no y/n don't bull shit me" she said scared

"Ah it just passed by that bush over there" I said and she screamed

Before I knew it she jumped and I caught her in my arms. It was truly a romantic movie setup, I caught her in my arms and I even spun us around

"See I told you I got you" I said with a smirk

"Run Where's the coyote?" She asked panting

"Oh I was lying I just wanted to make you jump" I said grinning

She smacked my arm "You dick" she said and I laughed

"Hey you jumped didn't you?" I asked

"Yea well now you have to carry me back" she said

"Not a problem" I said adjusting her and walking back down the trail carrying her bridal style

As we walked she took out her phone and took a picture of us catching me off guard as she posed cutely

"Ooh that's cute" she said with a giggle

"Hey no fair I wasn't ready" I said

"You have to always be ready" she said "here let's do another one" she said

I smiled as she did and it was a cute picture if im being honest

She put her phone away and then grabbed my head

"Y/n" she said

"Mm?" I asked mumbling looking down at her

She grabbed my face and kissed my lips gently making me smile

I kissed her again slowing down my steps as we walked down the hill and on to the street now

I lived in a gated community and it was just down a hill from the hiking trail we did

Ariana and I have been "hanging out" for about two and half weeks now. We kiss and make out but we also act like the best of friends. I mean truthfully I'm not looking for a relationship and neither is she

We're just trying to have fun with no feelings getting mixed in

Besides she was talking to other guys. She made that clear to me. Giving me the option to back away. But she was a distraction I needed so I didn't mind
